-20 years forward but never forward.-

I can barely remember her name. Her face is but a blur. The person is a haze to me now. But her presence, my heartbreak, her smile, the way I feel about her. It's here, ALIVE and well. As clear as the sun and moon share the same sky.

A promise?

I woke up with a cool breeze welcoming me to open my eyes. Disoriented, my gaze focuses on the orange and blue heavens. My back laid on decaying sunflower fields.

I muster the strength to sit up, brushed away the petals on my suit. I looked at the decaying fields. Unconsciously plucking a flower from its roots.

"There is something familiar with all these." I said under my breath while caressing a sunflower petal on the cusp of my hands.

A burst of pain came shooting on the corner of my eyes coming from my head. My eyes bled.

I grunt in distress and held my head in an attempt to soothe the discomfort.

My heart thump briskly, my breath grasp for air. As I opened my bleeding eyes, I saw that the sunflower fields weren't decaying no more but thriving. Blooming once again.

Decaying the next minute then blooming the next.

I stood up, disregarding the pain. A chill went on the back of my spine. A gush of forceful wind blew away the sunflower field. With the gale of wind gushing and the blood dripping from my eyes. I can barely see.

I tried holding my ground to not be taken by the ungodly winds.

But then I felt a terrible pain of steel and hate from my body and found my self catapulted and spinning to the sky.

"Was I hit!?" barely catching my breath.

In an attempt to contain my self from spinning out of control. There it was, on the ground where I once was, brutal and grinning. The cause of all these pain.

I grinned and shouted " Prepare thyself!"

Recalling my father's words I summoned the wind elements on this broken realm and branded them to be my wings.

"A brand!?" smirked the grotesque one. "On this realm, How foolish!"

"What's foolish is you facing me!" I replied. "I shall eviscerate you and the ground from where you stand!"

I burst out from the sky as thunder cracked through the heavens, I aim at my prey's bulging arm.

With one fell swoop of my Zephyr wings, the grotesque one's arm split from its fiery oaky body.

The grotesque one screamed in agony "Impossible! A brand should not have power here!"

As I drift from the ground carefully analysing my prey. I noticed the fields were once more blooming.

"Ah, I see." whispered the grotesque one with a slight satisfaction. "You are no mere brand."

Fire blazed through it's decapitated limb. In an instant its arm sprung back wielding the same gigantic hammer which toppled me to the sky.

"I shall have your soul!" howled the grotesque one.
