"We'll have Tomura come in. We need to discuss the matter on what happened a couple of weeks ago" Chisaki said.
"This isnt fair Overhaul. Shouldnt we think this through. I mean we killed a member of theirs and you made a mans arm explode. Couldnt you overhaul it back?" Yua asked
"My plans never fail. Does everyone understand?" Chisaki asked in a deep tone.
Everyone nodded and he ushered everyone out. He was tired and stressed due to the heroes catching up to them. He wanted to do nothing but get the plan in motion as quickly as possible before those heroes caught up to them
The door slammed open and Chrono rushed inside Eris room, you didnt need to see his face to know he was panicking.
He sighed a sigh of relief when he saw you and Eri but frowned at all the toys scattered
The new caretaker trailed behind Chrono and nearly fell to his knees when he saw you
"I thought you escaped!" He muttered
"Im glad to see your both enjoying the toys i bought for you both!" He said
"You got lucky this time. Dont let it happen again" Chrono said as he left
He patted your head roughly with one hand
"Please dont ever do that! My life is on the line!" He said
He had a new toy with him and sort of shoved it towards you. "This is expensive so play with it" He said as he walked out mumbling
Eri woke up and yawned, still tired from everything
"Good morning Y/n" She said with a smile
You hugged Eri with a smile
"Good morning!" You said happily
You were glad that experiments were held off for a week, meaning you and Eri got some time to heal
"Cmon, lets see what we have for breakfast" You said as you got out of bed with Eri, feeling the cold concrete floor as you both left the room, the caretaker no where in sight
"We should escape now" You whispered to Eri
Eri immediately shook her head and held onto you
"No! I dont want anyone else to die because of us!" Eri said
You looked at her and the obvious escape route and sighed
"Fine" You said as you both made your way to the kitchen hand in hand
Setsuno, Tabe and Hojo watched you both from afar as you both left to go to the kitchen
"Wheres their caretaker?" Hojo asked
Setsuno and Tabe shrugged
"Hes lucky Eri and Y/n didnt make a run for it. He would have been killed" Setsuno said
"Yeah"
Once you and Eri finished your breakfast, you both went back to your rooms to play, both of you hoping youd get to play in the garden.
Lucky for you and Eri, Overhaul allowed it with Chronos supervision
You both ran outside in the garden and admired the sun, the sky, the grass
You took a deep breath in and admired the outside world
It was nice to be outside after being locked up
"Lets play tag!" You said as you gently touched Eri
"Tag youre it!" You exclaimed
"Not fair!" She said as she ran after you
You were obviously the faster one but you slowed down for her
"Now youre it!" She said happily as she touched your back
"Youre so fast Eri!" You said
"Now im going to get you!" You laughed and began to chase her around the garden
Even though you were both barefoot, it was nice feeling the grass and hearing the birds chirp
Soon enough you both were tired and just layed in the grass with Chrono
He had taken off his mask and you three were trying to guess the cloud shape
"Thats a rabbit" Eri said
"It does look like a rabbit Eri" Chrono said
You pointed at another one
"And that looks like cotton candy" You said happily
Chrono hummed and nodded
Maybe he wasnt a bad guy after all
