Lizzie POV
Once we get into MG's car he immediately drives off trying to follow Hope's car.
"So.... how's your day been?" MG says trying to make small talk to fill the awkward silence. I don't really care though so I shut it down immediately.
"No," I say. Maybe it was a but harsh, but I'm on a mission. I don't have time for this right now.
"Alright then..." MG says looking forward.
Ok well now I feel bad, nice going Lizzie.
After a while Hope's car pulls into the Mystic Grill, because of course that's where they were going. All Salvatore students.... or I guess, Mikaelson Bording School students (ew), seem to have forgotten that all other eating places in the area exist and pretty much only ever eat at the Mysitc Grill. MG pulls his car into the parking lot a bit away as to not draw suspicion.
We sit in silence for awhile, just.... watching.
Look I know this seems creepy but it's all in the name of sisterhood ok. This is for her own good.
Josie POV
As we park Hope gets out of the car and walks around to open my door.
"Oh, she's a gentleman," I saying pretending to be shocked as she opens my door. She smirks and holds her hand out for me to take.
"Why of course ma'lady," she says in some fake poshe acent. Normally I would definitely make fun of someone for doing somthing so dorky, but somehow when the words come out of Hope's mouth the only word that comes to mind is adorable.
I smile and take her hand as she helps me out of the car.
We walk up to one of the tables outside and sit down, waiting to be served.
"So I gotta ask, what's the deal with what happened at the school? I mean you guys just show up to my high-school, decked out looking like full on superheros and expect me not to have some questions?" I ask wanting to know more. She laughs.
"Well I didn't see you complaining. In fact, I specifically remember you saying "speak for yourself" when your sister said you guys didn't want to be superheros," she said smirking raising an eyebrow at me.
"I don't recall," I said jokingly.
"Oh ya? You don't remember saying that and they checking me out right after?" She said teasing me in a flirty way that I find extremely hot.
"Uhm... I think you're remembering that wrong," I say flirting back. She just stares at me with her head cooked to the side smirking at me.
What's with that damn smirk anyway? And why is it so damn attractive?
The server comes out and asks us what he can get started for us today. He's a more awkward kind of guy with dark curly hair and a Chess piece tattooed onto his arm. I think I recognize him from school, but I can't remember.
Wait a minute... is he checking out Hope???
I gotta admit I get a little jealous at this, but then I calm down realizing something.
He doesn't have a shot in hell with Hope. What do I even have to be worried about?
MG POV
So we've been chillin in my car for about 20 minutes now just watching Hope and Josie. I gotta admit this is really weird. Stalking people really isn't my thing, but it sure as hell seems to be Lizzie's.
I look over to her and she's just staring intently at the two. Almost like she's trying to telepathically communicate to Josie to get out of there.
"Lizzie, can I ask yous something?" I ask.
"I guess... make it quick," she says while not taking her eyes off Hope and Josie.
Ya know, at first her attitude really bothered me, but now it doesn't even phase me.
"Why do you care?" I asked shortly. She turned to me.
"What?"
"Why do you care?" I said again slower. "Why do you care so much that your sister is going out with Hope? Why do you care so much that Hope is even in a close proximity of your sister? Why do you care?" I ask her.
"I care because I care about Josie. I'm trying to protect her." She says turing to look back at the couple.
"Protect her from Hope?"
"Yes."
"But why? What protecting does she need from Hope? It's not like she's gonna hurt her," I say trying to respm with her.
"You wouldn't understand," she says back.
"Try me."
"Back in my world Hope has done nothing but make my life a living hell. Always stealing the spotlight from everyone with her heroics and endless tribrid drama. I don't want Josie to have to go through that. Not in this reality anyway," she says as she keeps looking forward at them and not at me.
"So you're doing this to make her happy?" I ask.
"Yes, that's all I've ever wanted for her," she says. I turn to look at Hope and Josie again as I begin to make my point.
"Look at them Lizzie... she is happy," I say. Even though we are a considerable distance from them, the gigantic smiles both have on their faces as they talk to each other is clear. "You say you want your sister to be happy yet your actively trying to pull her away from the very thing that's doing that. I understand that whatever went on with you and Hope back in your reality must have messed you up pretty good, but you have to realize something. You're not there anymore. How do you know this is the same Hope you left behind? She could be completely different and you would never know because you haven't even given her a chance." I say turning back to face her.
She stays quite and looks down.
"All I'm saying is at least give her a chance to prove herself. I don't know Josie that well, but I've known Hope for a long time and since you guys have got here I see how she's changed. She's practically glowing evertime I see her and I know it's because of you sister. I've also seen the way your sister acts around her. They're happy Lizzie, so them be," I say reaching out and putting a comforting hand on her shoulder. She looks up at me.
"Your right MG. I guess she might be different after all. The least I can do is give her a chance for my sister's sake," she says. I smile at her.
I just got Lizzie to stop obsessing over her sister's love life... damn I'm good.
"So, should we go back to the school now? I could give you a grand tour?" I say.
Really I'm just trying to get more time with her, but she doesn't need to know that.
"I already got one when I first arrived," she told me.
"Ya but I bet that tour didn't include all the best places to hide booze and throw awesome parties," I say smirking at her hoping she gets the hint. She pauses smirking.
"Ya know what? On second thought, I think I will be needing that tour after all," she smiles at me.
I pull out of the parking lot and we make our way back to the school.
