Narrator: Now please do not be afraid of us spirits, we do not mean any harm, we only wish for your well-being, however you fear and chase us away. Humans, always fearing what you should trust and trusting what you should fear...
(The Gods are united at Olympus discussing the human race)
Ares: Some are truly gullible, it's almost ironic if I do say so myself.
Hephaestus: Believing everyone and everything, they should question more...they should use their little grey muscle to think for themselves and not to absorb everything like a small sponge. Yes, some are unable to think and fend for themselves, such a pity I am aware but those that truly believe that "others" need them to think have never been more wrong in their whole pitiful insignificant life. Human's lives are disposable, they aren't like us, they have no meaning, no purpose, therefore, no reason. They just bother to live and then waste that gift given to them by the Gods, such ungratefulness should be punished.
Aphrodite: Now now my love, we can't blame humans for their petty behaviors it's in their nature. They can't help themselves, they are overcome by emotions and forget to even use their so-called brain! Many just refuse to hear logic.
Athena: Yeah, they hear their muscles and their senses. How ridiculous is that? Can't they understand that their biggest weapon is their mind, their intellect?!
Hera: For sure...however can we blame them? Emotions and feelings are what make them move on. Their hopes and dreams are what inspire them. How we judge them if we don't understand their way of life? We are seen as spectrums, we don't feel, we don't touch...so are we in a position to judge those who are still breathing?
Poseidon: You may be right, but how can we stay still while some waste their lives being petty, mean, cruel and ungrateful? How can we help the broken and weak? Is there anything we can actually do?
Athena: No there isn't, we cannot get involved with the living. No matter how much it bothers us.
Hermes: Although, even if we could, what would make you so sure that they would change? They are flawed, unfinished, just mere walking prototypes. They aren't perfected yet. They make the same mistakes over and over again and never seem to learn.
Dionysus: Those mistakes might seem ridiculous and harmful to us, but for them, it can change the way the see the world, it can change them. That's why humans are so fascinating! They are always changing and adapting to whatever we throw at them. Some are stronger than others and never give up...
Ares: And those that are weak, what's their fate?
Artemis: They all have choices to make, they can either end it all, mourn or do something.
Apollo: Humans are lazy slobs; you expect too much of them sister.
Artemis: Perhaps, or perhaps I just see a part of them that not even the God of the sun can see with all his mighty light. You prefer blinding them the whole day, but some chose to enjoy my night, they question the meaning of their known universe, they work hard or just heal. You may not have faith left on this new year, but I'm certain they'll wake up, eventually.
Aphrodite. You have way too much fate on humans, but then again, they are pretty entertaining.
Ares: You've always enjoyed meddling in their businesses, remember that apple?
Zeus: Yes...how could I forget? That apple started a whole new religion with only one god! I mean how did that happened? We are 12 if we don't count the minor deities.
Hades: 13, brother, just because I do not live of the Olympus that does not mean that I am a minor deity.
Demeter: Everyone please settle down...do you even remember why we are all gathered today?
Ares: Speak up woman! We do what we always do, make fun of each other, and bet on human lives!
