Night One

One week later, Ghost and Wolf huddled next to each other. They had gotten the job--but at what cost?

"I swear to God," Ghost muttered, "If one of those things decides to jump-scare us, I will burn this place down."

"I wouldn't blame you," Wolf said cheerfully, checking the camera. He quickly slammed it shut. "It's barely four and we only have ten percent energy."

"Well if you didn't waste all that energy switching on the lights on and off we'd have more of a chance of surviving this!"

Wolf whimpered. "Don't yell at me. What if they can hear you--CHICKA!" Wolf lunged at the button and slammed the heel of his palm against the button. The door slid shut.

Ghost checked the camera. "She's gone," he confirmed, but the ordeal had left them with 6% of their energy left. "I sure do hope that six comes soon."

Wolf held Ghost's hand. "This is fun, though." His bushy tail wagged back and forth, brushing Ghost's arm. "Just me and you."

"And all these creepy ass animatronics," Ghost said, winning the Cockblock of the Year award. Wolf sighed. "We only have four percent, what the hell?!"

"The energy drains slowly anyway. What time is it?"

"Five-thirty."

"Great, only thirty minutes left," Wolf grinned, standing up to stretch. His tail, still wagging, kept hitting Ghost in the face. Ghost glared, and Wolf sat back down, tapping his foot impatiently against the floor.

Weird, carousel-like music started playing, and Ghost and Wolf heard the sound of children cheering. Ghost checked his watch. "It's six."

"Wow. Time flies."
