Farewell

Everyone who was watching the live recording of the battle went crazy. People were cheering and crying tears of happiness. When the military and heroes heard the news, they sighed in relief. 

All Might was in a beat-up state so he had to be moved to the hospital. Since he used all of his remaining power in the last attack, he lost his muscle form. Thankfully, the dust created by the attack served as a good-enough shield for him to get to the hospital without anyone seeing. The more pressing issue was that the city of Kamino was completely obliterated by the fighting of the two men.

For the next few days, the battle was the only thing the media would talk about. They would discuss the damage as well as All Might's heroics.

The hero himself was lying down on a bed in the general hospital with Detective Tsukauchi and Gran Torino.

"The last flames inside of me have gone out. The Symbol of Peace is dead." said All Might, looking down at his injured hand.

Gran Torino sighed. "It was unavoidable." he said, "But even if All for One is captured, his protege Tomura Shigaraki is still out there. Leave that to Tsukauchi and I. You will remain at UA to foster the next generation. Even if the Symbol of Peace is dead, All Might is still alive and with us."

All Might looked down. He decided that he needed to let Midoriya know what happened to him.

Later that night, Izuku received a text from All Might, telling him to meet him at the beach he had cleaned earlier that year.

"Oh! You're finally here." said All Might as he noticed Izuku coming towards him.

The veteran hero didn't beat around the bush and got straight to the point. "The truth is, I'm retiring. This old body can't go on fighting anymore."

Izuku gasped. "Wh-What do you mean? What are you talking about, All Might?" he stammered.

"In that last battle, I used all of my remaining power to put down All for One. I can't use One for All anymore." All Might explained.

Izuku said nothing and looked at the sand. Truth was, he had sensed something odd inside of him when he watched All Might use his final attack.

"But don't let this get you down! I will still be there to guide you! Just take this as motivation to improve!!" boomed All Might at the top of his voice.

Izuku looked up with a new determination in his eyes. His mentor was completely right. He didn't have the time to wallow in sadness. The villains weren't going to wait until he was ready.

"Yes, sir!!!" shouted Izuku as he saluted.

Despite the events that had occurred, life continued as normal for the students of UA. Today, they were to create 'super moves' while being supervised by Ectoplasm, Midnight and Cementoss.

Some people were having more success creating super moves than others. Students like Bakugo and Ida already had some ultimate moves while people like Ojiro had very limited options given the nature of their quirks.

Izuku was definitely the latter. As of right now, he could only command 5% of his power without breaking his arms. That wasn't much to work with. With that in mind, he considered seeing Hatsume for support items that can support his arms.

"Hey Ectoplasm! Your clone died so gimme another one!!" Bakugo yelled.

"He's something else. He'll get stronger for sure." said Midnight with approval.

After the lesson ended, Izuku made his way through the building of the support course students. He stopped outside the workshop where Hatsume lurked day in and day out.
