My Little Crewmate

1- Crewmates

Hi. I'm Lia, also known as Lime on the Skeld. The Skeld is the spacecraft that I have been living on for the past three weeks. When I signed up to be one of ten crewmate on the ship, I was expecting danger and adventure, but lately things have been running smoothly and, to be honest, pretty boring. That's why I started writing in this diary. Anyway, I guess I should introduce the other nine crewmates on the Skeld.

First, there's me, Lia. No one calls me that, though. They just call me Lime. It was our leader, Red's, idea first to call everyone by the color of their spacesuits. There's Lime, Red, Cyan, Pink, Purple, Brown, Black, Orange, Green, and White. We don't really need the spacesuits for anything other than identification anyway, because we never go on spacewalks. The suits are tight, and many of the crewmates wear clothes over their suits. I wear a flower on my suit, to remind me of Earth. Really that's all that you need to know about me. Oh! And Tessa! She's my daughter, or what the others call my 'mini crewmate.' I wanted to be a crewmate on the Skeld so badly that I hid the fact that I had a child with me until we were already out of the solar system. The others, especially Red, were pretty bitter with me then, but now they think that she's cute. Limey (her code name on the Skeld) wears a tiny spacesuit the same color as mine.

The next crewmate I should introduce is Red. I've mentioned this before, but he's our leader. He wears a military uniform over his suit, to indicate his power, I guess. He's always bossy and makes sure that we're on top of our tasks, but he's usually not super harsh. 

Next is Cyan. Cyan and I have a bit of a bond because we both smuggled something on board the Skeld. He has a dog named Sam that he brought with him. He's pretty simple and usually wears a backwards cap.

Cyan and Pink are my only real friends on the Skeld. Pink is one of the three girls on the Skeld (along with me and Purple). To be honest, I'm not sure how she was approved as a crewmate. She's kind, but scared of everything and already homesick. She wears a little red pin in the shape of a cherry that she says her mother gave her.

Purple is the exact opposite of Pink. She's a wild child and has a giant mohawk sticking out of her suit. She's not afraid of anything.

Who's next...Brown! He's our mechanic, always on top of the tasks where he can fix things. He always has on overalls and goggles. He doesn't talk much, but he's pretty cool.

Black isn't that interesting either. He never talks, and always wears a mask because of some medical condition that he has. I'm kind of afraid of him, and I never let Tessa near him in case his disease is contagious.

Speaking of people that I don't let Tessa near, let me introduce Orange. He's a bit of jerk in my opinion. He never does his tasks and is always dressing up in some weird costume that he got from who knows where. Cyan thinks he's funny, but Red shares my opinion of him. He just walked past- today he has a leaf on his head and a suit jacket, which makes him look like a dressed up carrot.

Green is our chef. He always makes the best meals. Right now I'm in the cafeteria waiting for him to finish cooking lunch! He wears a chef hat, although I don't know why, seeing as we all know that he's the cook.

That's nine...who am I forgetting? Oh! White, the doctor. He's very smart but a little boring if I do say so myself. He wears, well, a doctor outfit, with a white jacket and a head mirror.

I'll try to draw the crew. I'm not the best at drawing, so they'll probably come out looking wonky and strange, but I'll try. 

I have to go now. Red saw me sitting in the cafeteria and told me to finish my tasks while Green finishes cooking. I'll try to write more tomorrow.
