" 𝗛𝗘𝗬, 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘! " The scrawny backpack kid looked at me weirdly after i called out for him, y'know was actually okay-looking seeing him face to face, kinda thought he would have an uglier face. " wait hold on, are you talking to me? " he questioned me. " yeah, who else would i be talking to, you dumbnut. " his face scrunched up in anger and confusion at my comment, which i found amusement in. " I'M NOT A DUMBNUT! YOU'RE THE DUMBNUT HERE! "

   " mhmmm whatever, anyways- cool shirt. "his face seemed to calm down from the previous outbreak, and he formed a questioning look.  " oh uh- thanks i guess??? " something then seemed to click in his brain as i saw his eyebrows furrow together. " wait a minute.. " i tilted my head to the right as if to say ' hm? '. " what the hell are you even doing here " i proceeded to look at him blankly. " ....... " he looked back at me blankly, as if to challenge me. " ....... "

  " im actually not this foward, but i'm here to find somebody to be my best friend!, and you sir, are the perfect candidate for that position. " he looked extremely unimpressed with my statment. hmph!- how rude of him to take my declaration of frienship so lightly!

   " so you're telling me you came to a warehouse full of automechanic pieces to find a bestfriend? " he dumbfoundedly asked me. " of course i did! you never know where you'll find somebody as cool as me, and you seem like you are, so it wasn't a stupid choice! " " ok, so let's say you are seriously proposing your  ' decleration of friendship ', what's in it for me? " he quipped back at me. 

 " you, my dear boy and i, will be able to qualify for the friendship deal at keke's candy shop, where if you pay with a friend the second pound of candy is free,  if you are already purchasing one. " his eye's immediately lit up. " deal, best friends forever " i stuck my pinky out for him to hold. " forever? " he stuck his out and linked it with mines. " forever. "

  " 𝗪𝗮𝗶𝘁, so i know we're like bestfriends and all now, but i still dont know your name " i looked up from my gummy worms to see half of his tan face face covered in chocolate. " hold on " i took my napkin, poured some water on it, and padded off the chocolate from his smooth skin. " there! all clean again. " he lightly blushed in embarressment as i retreated my hand. " oh yeah soooo, your new wonderful, amazing, beautiful, stunning, partner in crime forever's name iiiiiisss.... dun da nun nun!, ( y / n )! " i began to make jazz hands with my slightly sticky fingers " 

  " ah ok, that's a pretty name, i'll make sure to print it in my brain " he muttered to himself. " awww shucks dude you're too sweet!, what's your name? " i beamed at him. " oh uh, its Dotei, nothing special " i doubled over in laughter as soon as his name escaped his lips. " hey! whats so funny?? " he stated madly. " wh-why would your-your parents name y-you m-male v-virgin! pffft- " i spoke out between laughs. " shut up! i didn't even know it meant that until now! " his face was as red as a tomato by now, i could even feel the heat radiating off it.

  " awww i'm sorry, i didn't mean to make you feel akward " i stated more sincerely. he waved it off with his hand. " it's fine " i heard his voice crack at the beginning and i almost started bursting out in laughter again, thank the lords for self control. " so, what do you do as a hobby? " i asked kicking the pebbles on the curb we sat on. " well, i like making robots and such i guess " he answered. " ooooo cool! i like to roller skate and play video games! " 

  " skating, huh? " he huffed out. " yeah, my mom made me pick some form of transportation for school, since she couldn't walk me there, and my stubborn self decided that '  oooh no i don't wanna take the bus, only lame people take the large yellow auto-mobile ' " i mocked myself, shuderring thinking about how scary it was crossing the street for the first time.

  " next question, who's your favorite hero? " i asked him excitedly. " i don't really have one, but terrible tornado is cool i guess " he responded dryly. " yeah she's cool, personally i really like watchdog man! he's so cool and cute! " i continued eating my gummies while hotei hummed in thought at my response. 

" hey i just realized, you say cool a lot, what's up with that? " i sat in silence thinking for a bit while chewing. " well, my big brother always said cool, so i guessed i picked up the habit from him? " i responded after swallowing the sugary worm. " that makes sense " 

" well.. " he began standing up and picking up his two plastic bags, i began to stand up too after getting what he meant. " i gotta go home about now, i spent way too much time away from my house than i planned. " he said while dusting his shorts. " ah ok, well, here's my phone number, call me up if you ever wanna hang out sometime! " i handed him a piece of candy wrapper with the sloppily written numbers in pen. " i'll make sure to " he took the paper and put it in his short pocket. " well uh, bye bye! " i waved to him as i began to walk back to my house. " bye! see you again sometime! " he cupped his hands over his mouth so i would be able to hear him.

i smiled to myelf as i began to open my door and take off my shoes. i finally had a friend! he was so mature and cool, he seemed like a nice guy! thoughts of future hangouts and soon-to-be-made memories filled my head as i sighed in content. jeez, i forgot how comfortable my bed was! my poor baby must've missed me! i felt my eyelids droop as i got into a nice position, and i soon drifted off into a slumber.
