February 18th, 2016 // 5pm

*Chelsea is at work and Jake is currently getting drunk at the club*

6 HOURS LATER

it is currently 11:30pm and Chelsea finally finishes up organizing all of the files in alphabetical order
*Chelsea gets a call from Jake's cell phone but Chris is on the other line*
Chelsea: What is it Jake?
Chris: Hey Chelsea, it's Chris. I know it's really late but Jake is blackout drunk and I can't drive because I'm also a little drunk myself. Would you mind picking us up please?
Chelsea: Why am I not surprised? Ok, just send me the address and I'll be there.

1 HOUR LATER

*Chelsea and Chris are dead silent in the car and Jake is passed out in the backseat*
Chris: Chelsea, are you okay? You haven't even said a single word since we got in the car.
Chelsea: I'm fine. It's just Jake—
Chris: Yeah I know, and I'm so sorry I had to call you so late—
Chelsea: Don't worry about it. If you hadn't called, who knows what would've happened.
Chris: You know we're going to have to do something about this right? I know he's your brother and you love him but he really needs to go to rehab.
Chelsea: Don't you think I already know that? I am completely aware of the fact that he calls an Uber to get to the club whenever no one is home. I know that! But how do we prevent him from finding ways to put his hands on more alcohol? I'm not even sure rehab is going to even help.
Chris: Yeah, you're right.
*15 minute awkward silence*
Chris: You can just drop me off here, I can walk. My house is two blocks away anyways.
Chelsea: Okay, sure. Goodnight Chris.
Chris: You too Chelsea.
Chelsea: *looks in the backseat* What am I going to do with you Jake?

30 MINUTES LATER AT THE HUNTINGTON HOUSE

Chelsea: Hey Siri, call Daniel
Siri: calling Daniel........
Daniel: Chelsea? Where are you and Jake? Mom and dad are worried sick! You never work this late and God knows what Jake is up to. We would've called Chris but none of us have his number.
Chelsea: Whoa slow down, are mom and dad still awake? Why didn't you guys call me?
Daniel: We've all tried calling you but they all went to voicemail.
Chelsea: Crap. Ok, I just got home but can you help me out with Jake? He's passed out in the backseat
Daniel: I'll be there in a second. Mom! Dad! Chelsea and Jake are home. I'm going to help her bring Jake into his room.
Mom and Dad: *sighs in relief* Finally, they're home.
Mom: I swear that girl—
Dad: Melanie please calm down, she's probably tired from work and I'm pretty sure the last thing she needs is us scolding her.
Mom: Why? We called her almost 30 times and she didn't even answer her phone
Dad: Don't you want to hear her out first before we start making assumptions and yell at her for something that might've been out of her control?
Mom: Why is it that you always have to be right?
Dad: I don't have to be, I just have the tendency to let people explain before making assumptions
*Daniel and Chelsea enter with Jake on Daniel's back*
Chelsea: hey mom, hey dad.
Mom: *raising her voice* Do you realize—
Dad: *cough cough* Melanie.
Mom: Right.. would you care to explain why you were home so late and why you didn't answer either of our calls?
Chelsea: Look, as much as I would love to explain all of the fun things that happened tonight, can we all just go to bed and talk about this tomorrow? It's literally 1:30am and I have work in the morning.
Mom: Not so fast young lady. Didn't I raise you better than that? Don't you ever give me that attitude again, do you hear me?!
Chelsea: Right,.. well me and my attitude are going to head to bed so goodnight.
Mom: Hey! We're not done here— *Jonathan covers Melanie's mouth and takes her to their bedroom while she mumbles and tries to fight back*
Dad: I think it's time we all head to bed sweetheart. You're probably a little tired because it's late.

LATER IN JONATHAN & MELANIE'S BEDROOM

Mom: Let go of me!
Dad: Babe, can you please calm down? Shouldn't we be happy that she even got home safe? Why can't you just accept that she's an adult now?
Mom: You don't understand Jonathan—
Dad: I do understand! *sighs* I understand completely, but we shouldn't be having this kind of conversation so late at night. We probably already woke up our neighbors and I told you that she might've been tired from work. It also wasn't even her responsibility to bring Jake home and yet she did.
Mom: You're right. I'm sorry
Dad: I'm not the one you should be apologizing to Mel. I just needed to let you know how harsh you were being on her.
Mom: Yeah I know. But I shouldn't have raised my voice at you either.
Dad: It's fine babe, now let's get to bed shall we?
Mom: Goodnight, I love you <3
*they exchange kisses*
Dad: I love you too Mel.
