Bell ducked, narrowly avoiding the blade of a minotaur. He barely had time to recover before blocking another swift chop aimed at his legs.

Elsewhere, he could see Lili and Welf trying to support him. There was an unrealistic amount of monsters attacking him, even for the middle floors. He barely had time to gather his thoughts, before crossing his daggers to block another strike. He turned to slash the minotaur with both blades, but for some reason, one arm wouldn't budge.

He looked to see his left arm completely gone.

He panicked in his head. Anyone fighting him would have noticed it too. His movements became sloppy, and he began to be more and more overwhelmed by the attacks. He tried to call for help, but was knocked away with a kick to the stomach. Wiping the blood away from his eyes and forehead, he brought himself to his feet, only to see his party already dead, with a few hellhounds fighting over Lili's bloody remains, and Welf bleeding out from a massive wound in his chest .

"What? No... no, no, no, no, no! Why!? How could I..."

His shock was cut off by another scream. Not from the other two.

"Bell-kun!"

His head shot to the source of the scream.

"Bell-kun! Help me!"

"Hestia-sama?"

The goddess, the head of his familia, sat in the corner of the floor, trying to push away the monsters attacking her. Bell barely had time to try anything, before realizing that the minotaur had already closed the distance between them. He rummaged through his bag, hoping to feel the shape of a magic item that would save him.

Nothing.

He instinctively tried to cross his daggers, but corrected his position, holding his remaining knife in his hand. The runes on the knife shined, and he charged at the monster before him, before being slashed, then kicked into a nearby wall. He looked at where the cut was.

The minotaur had slashed his legs, right at where his heels were. He couldn't stand. Hestia was still screaming for him to help her. He pulled himself up on his remaining arm, holding his knife's handle in his mouth. He began to drag himself towards Hestia. However, the minotaur closed the distance between him again, and slashed at his stomach.

Bell began coughing and spitting blood, as he dropped his knife and clutched at his open wound with his remaining arm. He could still see Hestia, who was beginning to be devoured by lizardmen and hellhounds. The minotaur prepared to swing his sword, as Bell lifted his arm and began to speak.

"Firebolt!"

However, to his surprise, nothing happened.

The minotaur brought down his sword, hitting Bell with the blunt end, throwing him back, and exposing his organs. He could only lift his head, seeing a lizardman stomping Welf's head in, Lili's corpse being torn to shreds by a hellhound, and Hestia still screaming, crying, and flailing.

"Bell-kun! Help, Bell-kun! Why, Bell-kun!? Why can't you help me!?"

He could see a look of disappointment on her face, as she began to be devoured. One of the hellhounds turned his way, and used its fire attack. The burning sensation was putting him through unimaginable pain. He was confused, as he didn't see the pillar of light emanating from her body signifying her return to heaven, instead just seeing the bloody remains of her clothes and hair ribbons.

The minotaur stomped on his back as he slumped forward, preventing his last attempt to get up, and began to talk.

"Hoh? You're still alive? You fought like a dog, and you're going to die like one.'
