stupid || gaara x naruto x rock lee

I am aware gaara's eyes are natural and he does not wear eyeliner, although this is a normal au so i made it eyeliner

It was all so stupid.

Gaara was so stupid.

Naruto and Lee's classmates, Ino and Choji, decided to throw a house party for their classmate Shikamaru. Apparently it was because he'd been chosen to be the class representative.

Gaara didn't plan on going, although his friends insisted that he go. He and his friends Temari and Kankoru all went to SandHS, a strange name for a high school, it was the name of their city. It was probably named after the fact the city was in the center of a desert. Most people hated all the sand everywhere, although Gaara quite liked the sand. Temari got annoyed when it got in her shoes, though Gaara stood in the sand barefoot.

Who knows, maybe he had some connection to sand in a past life.

It was all beyond the point.

The Sand and Leaf city-where Lee, Naruto, and their classmates lived-were pretty far from each other, so Gaara barely saw Lee or Naruto in person ever. While he didn't mind it all that much, Kankuro and Temari definitely did. Kankuro was close friends with Kiba and Choji, two kids from Leaf city, and he had feelings for Kiba. Temari was actually in a long distance relationship with Shikamaru. She obviously wouldn't miss going to this party for the world. So, Temari and Kankuro practically dragged him there.

Gaara had made acquaintances-they were friends, though he wouldn't admit it-with two kids from Leaf city as well. They were named Naruto Uzumaki and Rock Lee. They were the first to inform him about the party actually. Well, Naruto was, Lee invited him soon after Naruto did.

He didn't understand his feelings for either of them. He felt differently for the both of them than he did for Temari and Kankuro. How was it different though? Jealousy? No, he ruled that out a while ago. Gaara was always jealous of them because they both had friends that they would do anything for. Lee with his teacher Gai and Naruto with well... Everyone he'd ever been close with really. SandHS ended up creating a tutoring program like LeafHS's, and Temari, Kankuro, and him all signed up for it. There was one girl who signed up to have him as a tutor, her name was Matsuri. Once he'd met her, he finally understood how Naruto and Lee had been able to care that much about another person. Gaara always wanted human connection like that, and he'd finally gotten it. Even if it was just a girl she was tutoring, she trusted him when most other's didn't. He appriciated her for that.

Though it just wasn't enough.

As Gaara grew closer to Naruto and Lee, he found himself feeling like he would do anything for them as well as Matsuri. Although he felt differently for the two boys than he did for Matsuri too.

So what the Hell was different?

He wishes he didn't ask himself that question so much, because now that he'd gotten the answer, he didn't like it.

Gaara stands in the bathroom, in front of the sink with the door shut.

Temari often talked about her feelings for Shikamaru, and Kankuro his feelings for Kiba. Gaara had always found himself trying to figure out if he thought the same way about anyone. He figured if he got a girlfriend he'd finally fill that gap he'd felt in himself, although he never found himself thinking of anyone when his friends talked about the people they felt that way for.

He did now though.

Sometimes, Kankuro had spoken about feeling jealous of a girl named Hinata, one of Kiba's friends. The reason he felt jealous of her was the fact that she was so close to Kiba, and Kankuro felt as if Kiba felt for Hinata, the way Kankuro felt for him.
