In The Name of The Full Moon

PROLOGUE

Been looking out the car's window for an hour, the moon had risen.
A yellow moon guarding me and making me feel safe during my sad night.
The bright light of the moon with its stars makes me feel happy and complete.

"Funtallia, kanina ka pa nakatitig jan. We're here!" My friend Gionne said.

We're here outside the club na sinasabi ni Gionne. Weekend naman tomorrow so why not spend time with them and have fun. I'll start to forget my theses for now because I need to unwind and forget all the stress. Kakalimutan ko na din yung pinagusapan namin nina Gionne about Jess, my childhood friend.

"Let's go, Funtallia. I'm so excited." Cali said, our guy friend sabay hila sakin. Gusto atang baliin na yung braso ko.

Few moments inside the club, I felt dizzy about the happenings inside the club kahit na wala pa akong naiinom na kahit isang alak. I feel sick because of the lights going everywhere and maybe just because I'm not that out-going person. Nakapunta na din ako sa madaming club together with Gionne and other blockmates pero hindi padin ako sanay.

"Where are you going, Funtalia?" Gionne asked.

"I'll sit here first, I'm not yet ready to dance. Parang hindi ko pa kayang pumunta dun." I'm not yet ready to go there. I'm scared so I need a drink to boost my confidence.

I ordered one tequila because I need it. My schedule became toxic, many deadlines, presentations, and requirements to finish because I'm a graduating student together with Gionne and Cali.

"Come on, Funtallia. Let's go and let's have fun!" Pagpupumilit nya pa sakin. But I still can't kahit na buhatin pa nila ako papuntang dance floor ngayon.

"Pabayaan mo na Gin, pupuntahan naman tayo nyan later. Am I right, Funtallia?"

"Yep, I promise. Susunod ako mamaya, okay?"

"Fine! That's a promise, okay?" Paninigurado pa nya so I nod. "Okay Funtallia, see you later! Bye!"

I waved at them at tsaka agad ininom yung tequila ko. Ramdam na ramdam ko yung init sa lalamunan ko nung drink kaya napaubo ako sabay sipsip ng lemon.

"What am I thinking? Hindi pa ako ready tapos ininom ko agad." Nauubo ko pang sabi sa sarili ko at sumenyas pa sa bartender ng isa pang tequila. I'm so stupid.

"May I?" A guy asked me if he could sit beside me, I nodded while drinking my drink. I can hear him talk pero hindi ko sya pinapansin because I'm too busy drinking. I try to restrain my self because I don't want to start a conversation with him.

"Are you alone?" He asked, naguilty ako so I'll answer his question.

"Nope, I'm with my friends. They're dancing right now." I said and drank my drink straight. I shook my head, damn. I feel so good, I need more tequila.

"Try my drink." He offered his drink, but I don't trust him so I asked the bartender to have what he had. He chuckled. "I am not what you're thinking, okay? I'm not like that."

"We'll never know." I winked and drank it all. "Woo! Damn, this drink's so nice!" Napasamid pa ako pero keri ko pa naman. I looked at him and cleared my throat. "You're a stranger so I don't trust you."

Tbh, I don't know what am I saying right now.

"Okay, let me introduce myself para hindi na ako stranger for you. I'm Radwil Cortesa." He held out his hand but I just stared at it. Siguro may tama na talaga ako ngayon.

"I'm Funtallia Valentiaña. Hard name, yes. You can call me whatever you want." Okay, I can't control myself now.

"So can I call you mine?" I laughed out loud at tumayo na sa kinauupuan ko to dance sa crowd.

Narinig ko tinawag nya name ko, but I don't care. I want to dance right now but somebody touched my butt. I turned around and glared at him. I don't know him, it's not Radwil. He's trying to make a move on me, I tried to push him but he's strong enough.

Then suddenly, the guy who's making a move on me a few seconds ago is now on the floor. Sleeping with a blood on his nose. A random guy get me from the crowd kasi madami na ding nagsusuntukan. I tried to look at this random guy's face but I can't see his face clearly.

"I'm s-scared." I said out of nowhere.

"You're safe now, I'm here." He whispered in my right ear while hugging me, napangiti ako sa sinabi nya at napayakap pa ng mahigpit.

"Thank you... Jess." Out of my control whisper and I no longer know what happened next.
