When I saw Leonardo my body seems to have been driven by a wave of electricity. Those beautiful gray eyes seemed to penetrate mine and want to discover every piece of my soul. However, even if he is beautiful, my rational part made sure to remind me how asshole he was.
At this point I felt like screaming at Kat, for having the courage to try to trick me. Damn, she knew how much he irritated me.
"Katherine, are you kidding me? Dios mío que la irritacíon!" Frustated I prepare myself to leave and go home, where I was very well.
As soon as I got up, I mean, as soon as I tried, the doors locked up automatically. Frustated I raised my hands.
Now were they going to lock myself inside the car?
"Katherine open the door I have to wake up early tomorrow."
After the words come out of my mouth I realized how strange they sounded as my boss was in the front seat. I think he realized what I wanted to say because he was smirking.
"Danielle, don't worry, I bet your boss is friendly enough to not care if one of his employees arrives a few minutes late."
I snorted and I didn't replied turning to my best friend, hoping she takes my side but I saw her shrugging, which left my mouth wide open.
"Come on, have fun. I think you owe me a favor after I was a third wheel so many times with you and John. "
As soon as she said those words she immediately regretted. Only the fact that she said his name made me feel an agonizing pain and a huge sadness.

John. I sighed.
John.
I tried to control the tears. The only person that made me happy and sad the same time.
It's been 7 months and the last day I saw him still remains intact in my mind. If he ever returns again I would accept him without thinking twice.
Despite what he did.
Despite the bastard that he was.
After all, I love that man too much.
I know he can change.
Pathetic not? I look like a desperate girl.
"John? Who is John? " Leonardo's voice broke my thoughts. Kat watched me with a regretful look.
"It's not nobody. Let's eat, tomorrow I have to go to work. "
Right now I preferred to have dinner with that clown rather than tell him who was John. Dine with them didn't mean I had to talk.
They nodded. The trip was made in an uncomfortable silence. Katherine looked like a statue, leaning on her side looking out the window. I was engrossed looking at my sweater border and trying to fight the whirlwind of emotions I was feeling.
I looked into the inside mirror near the driver seat and I saw Leonardo's eyes focused on me. He looked at me intently which made me feel slightly uncomfortable. Within seconds his eyes turned to focus on the road.
The trip was made in a strange silence and Kat tried to create small talk but she only received short answers. Minutes later the car stopped, which meant we had reached our destination.
The doors unlocked and I left quickly out of the car.
I breathed in the fresh air dramatically and waited until they left the car. I followed them, walking slowly staying behind them.
Katherine was speaking to the maid and tried to get us a table in a corner of the restaurant.
The table had four chairs, two on each side and in one side was me and Kat and in the other side was Leonardo and Carl. I stayed in front of Carl and Kat's with Leonardo.
"So as Katherine how's work? Where you work it? " Leonardo asked trying to create conversation. Kat was excited because she loved talking about her work.
"Well I work as a talent hunter at a record company. I often go to small concerts in cafes who are discovering new talents and I look for the the most talented. Then I decide which one is the most potential, talk to them and the rest is business talk. "She told us in a very professional way" And you Leonardo, you work on what? "
I froze and I saw that Leonardo looked at me and laughed.
"Well, I am the owner of Empire Hotel"
Kat's mouth made a perfect "O" and she looked at me puzzled.
"But Dani works in that Hotel"
I was just angry with his way of making this situation funny.
"Yes, she works, I am her ugly, old and loveless boss."
He laughed and winked in my direction.
