An Unorthodox Plan

Anakin grinned as he laid a hologram projector onto the table and powered it on. He produced the schematics for a weapon Ochako recognised- Katsuki's electro-grenade. They now called them droid poppers and were used heavily during the past four months.

"Our plans revolve around Katsuki's droid po-"

"ELECTRO-GRENADES!!"

"Electro grenades. Yes. These grenades can be lobbed at enemy tanks and disable them, making them the most deadly and valuable weapons of war so far. Our plan uses a new rocket launcher that uses droid poppers for ammunition. We have you all outfitted with these droid popper launchers and fly you into the front lines, rendering the droids all but destroyed."

"So you want us to walk in guns blazing with an arsenal of droid popper launchers?" Izuku asked, quite frightful about what that entailed.

"COUNT ME IN! I WANT TO KICK DROID ASS!" Katsuki yelled, causing an animal-loving boy to fall from his chair.

SIX HOURS LATER...

Ochako kissed Tsuyu's forehead before turning out the cabin lights. Their last night at the Jedi Temple before moving to Geonosis for a campaign. In her opinion it was stupid; there would many unnecessary casualties, and it would probably kill the new boy, Izuku. Ochako had begun taking a liking to him after the day's events. He was meek and shy around angry and authoritative figures, but around her he felt as if he could let out. They had conversed for an hour before she realised Tsuyu had fallen asleep. Tsuyu had a weird habit of having nightmares so Ochako sent him a goodnight message and tucked her froggy friend into bed. Well, more like froggy sister.

She stared at the ceiling, Tsuyu's rhythmic breathing lulling her into a sense of security, a feeling which Ochako does not elicit in herself often, being a 'mother' to the squad. She loves her role, as it enables her to help her cloned brethren, and to connect with them on a deeper level. Tsuyu is one of those people she has that connection with.

Three knocks rang out at her door. Ochako immediately grabbed for her blaster- three knocks was their code for danger. She swung open the door and levelled her blaster to...

Izuku Midoriya's face.

"Oh god it's just you! I'm so sorry Midoriya, three knocks is code for danger, so I thought that you were a droid or Katsuki in trouble I-"

"Hey I should be sorry, I knocked a danger code when there was none. Forgive me," Izuku stammered, surprised but understanding. His smile lit up Ochako's face with one of her own. His innocence gave her some hope.

"I was gonna ask if I could spend the night in your quarters? I get scared easily and Katsuki's shouting is driving me crazy."

"Of course, come right in."

Ochako groaned and began to sit up, checking the time on her clock. 6:00am was what was read and processed through her eyes. She began to remember what happened the previous night, and began to do something she never had before; blush.

Izuku was wrapped around her torso: his head was nestled into her left shoulder and his arms and legs gripped her waist. Ochako thought back to how shy he was and assumed that maybe this was a Jedi custom or something. She wasn't used to this type of interaction. Ochako tapped on Izuku's forehead, his eyes fluttering open, his face reddening and his body recoiling as he realised what he had been doing.

HOLY SHIT I JUST SLEPT ON A HOT CLONE TROOPER!! Izuku screamed internally, falling off the bunk: Tsuyu stirred in her sleep, grunting at the sudden weight shift. Ochako just laughed.

"Don't worry about it General, you were sleeping like a log so I thought just to leave you be. Plus it was free warmth," Ochako reassured, flashing a brief smile. She rose from the bunk, helped Izuku to his feet and walked to the washroom to change.

Katsuki's gonna be so pissed if she tells him ohmygodohmygo-  Izuku began to freak out internally again. He stumbled from the room and sat on a bench in the hangar, his head in his hands. He was fretting about the what he thought was awkward moment he and Ochako shared. If anyone found out about it, he would lose his spot as a commander and she would be court marshalled! She would be terminated! Izuku's 7:30 alarm sounded, prompting him to head to the pickup shuttle to go to the Venator named The Electroman.

In the hangar bay of The Electroman Izuku realised that his leadership was incredibly important.

Thousands of soldiers, crew, maintenance droids and other key peoples ran about in a frenzy, so much so that he couldn't keep up. One soldier from the 212th barked orders at a group of shinies, prompting them to run, whizzing past Izuku's face and dizzying him. He began to hear someone calling his name rather loudly. His eyesight sharpened and his stomach sank as he saw Ochako trotting over to him.

"Uhhh Ochako I-uhh, can I just-"

Ochako put a finger to his lips and said, "No need to apologise. In fact, I rather liked that Jedi custom. It was warm and surprisingly comfortable. I would like to try that again this evening, if it were alright with you." Her face was pinched into a light smile. It made Izuku's heart flutter for a moment, but then he realised what that entailed. He began to call out but Ochako had already disappeared into the crowd of soldiers. He trudged toward the bridge, cringing as he awaited the wave of looks of admiration he would get from clones all the way up. As he reached the lift that would take him to the bridge an alarm began to ring. The lift began speeding up, getting him to the bridge in a matter of seconds. He was thrust up and out, Anakin and Rex there to greet him.

"Good, you're up here, we're under attack and we need you protected. We dispatched your squad to fend off the enemy fighters, plus three other fighter squadrons," Rex barked, Izuku growing ever scared.

"Don't worry," Anakin stated, "Your squad is much better at fighting than you think."
