Was that all true, dad?

As sure as sure can be, little man. Would I lie to you?

Auntie says you stretch the truth a lot.

Which auntie?

Auntie with the long hair.

Auntie Clara? Well, she's my sister, little man. That's her job, to be critical of me. And while she's right, I wouldn't lie about something this important.

His son sat for a moment, thinking blissfully in the way only a child can. Dad?

Yeah, little man?

Is your leg okay?

JJ felt his nonmechanical leg. The burn scar was still there, but had mostly faded. It's feelin' good today, little man. That's enough story for now. Why don't you go play with Auntie Baby for a little while? Your dad needs a nap.

Okay! His son jumped up and hugged him. Bye dad! Love you!

Bye, Liam. Love you too.

The End.

And thus ends the Events of the Convention, Volume Two. Sorry I wrote so much today, I got a creative burst or something, I don't know. (For clarity, JJ adopted a baby, that's why he has a kid) Anyway. This has been a great experience for me. I don't think I've ever gotten so much writing done in such a short time. And while this story is neither as popular as the first book, nor do I expect it to be, it was fun to write, and gave a story to a character I felt needed one. As always, thanks for commenting, voting, and just reading. I'll see you in the next book.
