She grins, "you know what, let's be friends, I'll show you around the city and everything. You can meet my friends." I smile "You're so nice, I'd love that." She pulls me in for a quick but tight hug. "Oh, my god! I can't wait. First, I f you don't mind me asking, where do you live?" I give her a little awkward smile, "I have no idea yet, but I know that I don't want to be in a dorm." She laughs at that and says "Well, if you want, I can't help you look for a place, I'm sure we can find something better than a dorm for you." I smile at that.

We spend the rest of the flight talking about just anything and everything, she tells me about all the tiktok drama that she's recently gotten into and I tell her about Matt and Clemence, and I am so relieved to finally have someone who also thinks that Matt is going way to over board. She did tell me not to worry about it too much and that things would fix themselves, it's just going to take a little time.

We finally got off the plane and it was such a relief to be able to finally stretch my legs. Addison and I parted ways and I am alone again, waiting for my luggage. When I finally see my suitcase I rush to get it. I look around and see a load of people all speaking extremely loud. I can already feel the heat and starting to regret wearing sweatpants and nothing under my hoodie. I fan myself using my passport and ripped boarding pass as I make my way through the crowd of people. It's so weird it's almost like they're all surrounding someone. Oh well, they are.

There's a crowd around Addison, she's just smiling and taking a few pictures with some people. Her eyes meet mine and she makes her way to mine. She grabs me by the arm and uses me as an escape "Thank you so much for being here, I really needed a way out." I chuckle nervously, there are camera flashes going off from everywhere, I answer her "You're welcome, I guess, I was actually heading to the Starbucks to try and book a hotel, I knew I forgot something." She looks at me, amazed, "Well, I guess you can stay at my place for a little bit. If you want of course." I think about it for a little, but I know that I don't really want to feel like a burden, "That's so nice, but I don't know I think I'll just go to the airport hotel for tonight." She furrows her brows "Don't be silly, you can stay the night today." I give her a shy smile. "Okay, but I'll be out by tomorrow, and I'm pay you back to the Uber there." She shrieks and takes my hand, and leads the way out.

We sit in the Uber, and at first we find ourselves in a very awkward silence. I decide to break that silence, "hey Addison, I thought about what you said and maybe I might start posting a bit on tiktok, could be fun." She shrieks excitedly "oh, yes, if you want we could post together, I can even tag you on my account!" I just nod, copying her enthusiasm. She pulls out her phone and choses a sound, we just lip sync to it and she captions it 'new roomie' and tags my account. My phone almost immediately starts blowing up with notifications, I smile nervously at her, maybe this wasn't the best idea. She grabs my hand "You're going to love this, it's so fun I swear, even if sometimes you might get the occasional hate comment." I chuckle nervously again, was that supposed to reassure me?
