place: hell (school)I absolutely hate this place. There's nothing like waking up at 6 in the morning to spend eight hours with a bunch of assholes that act as though you are quite literally invisible. I don't exist to people in general. Especially since I attend one of the most prestigious high schools in the entire country. St. Jones Academy. Not only are all that attend assholes, but they are rich, which makes them certified assholes. Trust me, I am not included. I can be an asshole at times, but I'm far from rich. I got a full ride scholarship to attend St. Jones because my GPA is somewhat impressively high (it's 4.5). But enough about me, there is one asshole in this place that treats me like a normal human and that is Carmen Agreste. Granted she can be a real bitch sometimes. She tends to forget that we are not from the same background, so she says a lot of out of pocket shit. I do not put effort into our fRiEnDsHiP but she seems to think that we're the best of friends. Though to be completely honest, I don't mind her that much. At the end of the day she is just someone to help me pass time while I'm stuck here. Carmen can be extremely nosy. She is always asking me personal questions like when my birthday is or what my family is like. I don't like to share those kinds of things with people. It's not in my nature to converse about such topics with others. Especially not with the people that go here. They all have the same background. They were all raised the same way. They are accustomed to a lifestyle that is worlds different than mine. In conclusion I would simply just not be able to relate to them and vice versa.
...
This is my study hall period right now. We are allowed to go anywhere in the school as long as we are not interfering with a class currently in session. I usually spend study hall in the library. Nobody ever really comes to the library except for me. Though I kind of like it that way.
"Hello" someone said kindly.
I continued reading my book.
"Hellooo" said the stranger
I lift my head from my book to see a boy standing in front of me. I do not think that I have seen him before. I stare at him blankly without responding to him. I then look back down to my book and continue reading.
"What are you reading"
"Are you new here?" I asked. He must be since he's talking to me because like I've said before, -
i. don't. exist.
"Yes I am. My name is Taehyung. What's yours?" The boy said politely with a boxy grin on his.
"R. I. P. Eliza Hart" I said plainly, not wanting to entertain this conversation any longer than I had to.
"Excuse me?" he said confusedly.
"The name of my book" I said somewhat annoyed at him for talking to me in the first place.
"What's it about? You seemed pretty invested in it"
I tried to pay attention to what the irritating boy was saying to me, but I got distracted when i saw Carmen bursting through the library doors. I knew she was looking for me. Our next period was lunch. She always sits next to me at this time and rants to me about her boyfriend of the week doing stupid shit to piss her off. I usually just zone her out while listening to my music, but I do not think that she ever realizes since she is so invested in her own life predicaments. I almost immediately grab my things in hopes to get away from the boy without Carmen seeing. The last thing I need was for her to interrogate me about this stranger I don't know and turn it into something it's not.
