"You know, you're really boring. I've never seen a girl sit here and waste hours of precious time buried nose deep in books."

"I don't think you've ever seen a girl at all, jungwon" You say with a sigh, trying to find the word you left off on before being distracted by the boy sitting beside you.

"That doesn't make any sense and is totally not true i've seen you and my mom, and-"

"Shhh" the librarian hushes the rambling boy, index finger coming up to her lips as she signals the quiet sign, very obviously agitated with all the activity coming from your current table.

You snicker at that, sticking out your tongue at the brown haired boy then looking back to the book in your hand, he rolls his eyes at your childish gesture, slightly giggling under his breath before checking his watch, abruptly standing up seconds after.

"Holy shit it's getting late I have to get you home."

The walk home with jungwon seemed unfamiliar, the usual comforting silence being replaced with an awkward one, tension was in the air and you surely didn't like the taste of it.

You walk with your head down as you approach your house, an uneasy feeling starting to develop in the pit of your stomach, not being able to pin point it you brush it off as hunger.

Jungwon walks you to your driveway before signaling for you to continue on, patting your head and handing you your bag. you give him a slight smile and walk to your door step, turning around one last time and waving at the boy, the smile never leaving your face, he gives you a tender nod before waving back, his own little grin adorning his face.

you enter your house without a second thought, but who would've known that would be the last time you saw yang jungwon.
