My Sweet Addiction

Our First Meeting

~Zankoku's perspective~
I was working a normal night at my family's casino, dealing with sluts, drinks and many other types of people. I stood behind the bar, making drinks with my shirt unbuttoned as sweat rolled down my chest. It had been hot in the casino the past few days since the A/C was out, my old hag of a mother not wanting to pay to fix it. I began making a Bloody Mary for a man who has already had way to much to drink. After I pass the drink out to him I tie my burgundy hair into a low pony, wiping sweat off my forehead with a rag. I stared off into the distance, trying not to die of heatstroke when the door catches my attention. I watch as a short male walks into the casino, wearing a hoodie with the hood up. "How is he wearing that when it is hot as hell in here..?" I mumbled, rolling my eyes and looking at the floor for a moment. The male went and sat on one of the stools at the bar in front of me, he was about to talk but he looked away, coughing into his shoulder. When he turned back I noticed- "black bubbles..?" I mumbled, my heart seemed to drop, why though? I never felt bad for anyone, so why is he any different. I brushed it off, pushing my glasses up as I sighed lightly. "Hello- May I open a new tab for Kai?" The male said, looking up at me as black bubbles escaped his mouth. "Sure." I said, a light smile on my face. 'So his name is Kai' I thought to myself. "What can I get you sir?" I say, setting the rag I used to wipe my sweat on my shoulder, leaning over the counter as I waited for Kai to order. "One whiskey please." He said, holding his stomach like he was about to throw up, I figured it was because of the black hearts. I nodded, turning away and pouring him some whiskey, giving it to him after. Kai took his hands off his stomach, drinking his whiskey. Kai stayed for a few hours, ordering some drinks here and there. Around 11pm he left, leaving me a tip of 2,000yen. "Score.." I mumbled to myself, a light smile on my face as I stuffed the money in my pocket. I watched as Kai walked away, honestly feeling like a part of me just left me.
