MOON

Chapter 2

RIVER'S POV:

It's been 3 years since we found Moon by the creek. Her life-less body half in the water as the moon shone down on her making her blood a deep crimson red colour. It almost feels like yesterday remembering it.

I felt so angry seeing her like that.

"I don't feel a heart beat" Skyler said sadly

"Shall we leave her body in the water....on its course?" I asked

"No no no" cryied Jason "I..I can help"

I gazed into my little brothers red eyes. That little radical had caused me so much trouble. But I still love him, it wasn't his fault he had a gift. When he was born everyone despised him, because of he's eyes and also because mother died giving birth to him. On his second birthday the village elder gave him a dead crow. I was shocked. Giving a toddler a sign of death on his birthday was a pitiful act. But Jason didn't mind, he picked up the poor crow and held it in he's tiny hands. Then he's hands glowed white and the crows eyes opened. They were red just like Jason's, the bird than stretched its wings and flew away.

The village turned against him, called him a freak and planned to burn him on a stake. I took action and fled the village leaving my life behind at the age of 9, and becoming a rouge werewolf. I took care of my brother, along with Kree, the crow. He had a special bond with my brother. On my 10 birthday, i discovered i had the gift of wind. I could bend it to my will it was pretty handy. At the age of 11, Skyler found me catching fish with my bow, I was using my gift to hit them perfectly. "Great talent" she had told me. "Your brother is the same, the gift of a healer, as my gift brings death". From that day we became a pack, Jason, Slyler and I. Including Kree, Delilah & Dae (our pet wolves).

"Ok Jason, if your sure" I said

"I..I am"

He walked over to the raven haired haired beauty, and knelt down. He then placed his small 7 year-old hands

on her body. A blue light resonated from his hands, then it tuned lighter and lighter till a pure white light shone. All of sudden her body jolted, and she took in a lung full of air. She started coughing up blood, Skyler and I both approached the girl she looked around my age 13.

"Take Jason home, he needs to rest" Skyler told me

"Sure" I knelt down and picked up my sleeping brother in my arms and stood up.

"Can you hear me young one?"

"Take me to the water....please" a soothing wind chime voice awnsered.

"Um..as you wish"

I watched as Skyler placed the girl in the creek. The water turned silver and started bubbling.

"What's happening?" I asked Skyler

"Well it seems like this girl has the gift of water" Skyler smiled

It's funny thinking back to it now, moon has the gift of water. Just like the real moon has. Pulling and bending the water to its will.

The 3 years Moon has spent with us, she has grown in strength, height and power. Her gift has become stronger and stronger by the day. She was distant at first but now she acts like a we are her siblings. But me a little differently...I hope.

6 months after her arrival we met Kyle & Jyles, or we like to call them the gifted twits (cough cough) twins.

Kyle and Jyles both had the gift of earth. Meaning they could move boulders and create tunnels underground. They had left there pack the same reason everyone else had, because we were thought as freaks, we were outcasts in the werewolf society. Abnormals as they liked to put it.

Kyle, Jyles, Jason, Moon and I were down at the creek hanging out coz Skyler needed Skyler time. Whatever that meant...

"Hey Mooonnn, Rivers given you a funny look" cooed Jason (who was now 10).

"See something you like doofus!" Moon yelled

'Well... yes' I thought, as I gazed into her silver blue eyes. Her pearl white skin had a sprinkle of freckles on her nose and her long raven hair fell down to her waist.

"Hey windy heads up" they were the last words I heard before I was drenched head to toe in ice-cold water.

"Water-head!" I yelled "pay packs sweet" I grinned

Her face fell and a hint of fear crossed through her eyes.

"Please.. I won't do it again" she pouted

"Nice try Moon" Kyle and Jyles both said

"Shut up rock heads" Moon snapped

"Ahhhh!" She yelled as I lifted her up in the air and hung her upside down.

"RIVER! PUT ME DOWN pretty pretty please" she smiled

"To late, I warned you last time sweetie pie"

Everyone burst out laughing

All of a sudden the water on my body iced over. Great she froze me. I saw Moon drop from my hold and land in her pure white wolf form.

"Nice one icey" I grinned "but can you please Let me free?" I asked

'Beg' I heard in my mind

I heard snickers coming from the boys.

"Please please may you unfreeze me oh mighty Moon"

'Ok' Moon grinned in her wolf form

"But on one condition, I get a kiss" she smirked now in her human form (fully clothed).

Did she just...what?!

I swallowed

"Eww you two go get a cave or something were leaving" Jason yelled

"Well is it a deal?" She asked

"Well considering that I am allowed to kiss my girlfriend only when I ask her...of course" I smiled "so come over hear babe"

In a blink of an eye she was infront of me.

"Ok..then" she giggled she leaned in and kissed my cheek.

"No way!"

The ice started to melt off me, so I reached forward and grabbed the back of her neck leaning over her.

"Naughty naughty" I grinned

I knelt down and felt her sweet lips on mine, god she's so perfect.

'This will all fall apart when she finds her mate' said my wolf sadly

We broke apart and gazed into each others eyes.

"River...I lo" she was cut off by a thundering howl

"Ahhhhhwhuuuuuuu!!"

and then three large wolves appeared from the woods.
