Lava: "You're supposed to cry when your parents die right?"

The barkeep looked at him with a concerned look

Barkeep: "Yes, as far as I know thats normal why do you ask?"

Oliver: "Because the day of my mothers death, my brother didn't even shed a single tear."

The Past:

Lava: "NO MOM COME BACK. PLEASE COME BACK."

Doctor: "Hold him back!"

*Lava latches onto hospital bed where his mother lays there, lifeless.*

Lava: "NO. NO SHES STILL ALIVE. I KNOW SHE IS, LET GO!"

Doctor: "S-Stop him!"

Lava: "OLIVER! DO SOMETHING"

*Oliver stands on the opposite side of the bed Motionless*

Lava: "HELP ME!"

The present:
Lava: "They say everyone's emotions work differently. I guess my brother's lack of tears was his way of grieving."

Lava: *Sighs*

Lava: "I wish I would've said something else instead of yelling at him back then. Because little did I know, that day broke him."

The past:

A few weeks after the death of their mother, the two boys faced poverty. Struggling to survive, they did whatever they could.

*Bell rings*

Shop owner: "Welcome to Kris's deli!"

Lava: "Should we really do this? This is against the law!"

Oliver: "Whats more wrong? The fact that we're at a local bodega and we're gonna steal a candybar, or the fact that two motherless children are left for dead on the streets of new york?"

Lava: "Well-"

Oliver: "Oh shit, you thought I was serious."

Lava: "So we're not gonna steal?!"

Oliver: *Deep sigh*

Oliver: *Sudden smirk*

Lava: "What are you thinking..."

Oliver: "Now that I think about it, some measly candy-bar isn't nearly enough to satisfy our hunger"

Lava: "So what? You're gonna steal two candy-bars?!"

Oliver: *Deep sigh*

Oliver: "Just watch."

Oliver: "Excuse me! Mr. Shop owner! Thats a nice Wu tang shirt youre wearing!"

Shop owner: "Yeah? How did ya know the brand kid?"

Oliver: "Elementary! It is 1992, and given we're in New York city it had to be Versace, Machino or wu wear but given the size of the necklace it had to be related to "gangster style" and that doesn't match up with the European brands Machino or Versace and champion doesn't produce necklaces of that size so it had to be wu wear!"
