Friends Are Forever

Chapter 2

         Lunch with the family the talk and call           

We were at the diner when Andrea smiles mischievously and gets up. Boy will Lena have quite the surprise.  Lex was smiling as well as I and Mercy. Soon both my son and daughter  will be married to their soulmates.
 

She gets up, " Lena my love, I love you more than you'll ever know. We've always had a you jump i jump relationship. I want no one and nothing more than for you and us. So will you marry me Lena?"

Lena smiles and pulls her ring out as well and says, " You jump, I jump, Andi so yes i'll marry you!" and gives her her ring and has Andrea give her hers.  I smile and so there goes Lena's grand proposal plans, I laugh to myself. 

Lex pips up, " So will we have that double wedding after all, Lee?" 

Mercy smacks him to shut him up saying it's up to them. I adore both Mercy and Andrea, both strong independent women who are good in their fields of work, Mercy in security and Andrea in science.

They go about making the wedding plans talking about the venue and the food. Andrea has Lena wrapped in her arm as they talk and I just take it all in ever since Lienol  died. I've been trying to clean up his mess, but for now I'll just enjoy my children's happiness. 

Lunch was at an end and all five of us had work to do. We say goodbye and head to work.

  I'm in my office when I call my assistant Katie in, she's a small  thing but she has fire in her much like my children's assistants Eve and Jess. I called the young girl over.

" Katie, sweetie, I had no clue that Cat wanted to talk to me. Why didn't you put her assistant through to me? Cat Grant is an old friend of mine and any cals should come through to me even if its her assistant Kara Danvers."

I'm sorry Dr. Luthor next time I will. I know you do not like to be desterbed when you have a project and hadn't known that Miss Grant was the exception, I'm truly sorry I won't do it again"

  I smile and nod telling her to make a note of it and see to it she doesn't do it again. She sighs in relief, accidents happen and she doesn't know about I and Cat's friendly rivalry and friendship.

I pick up my personal phone and call Cat.

  Hello kitty its me.

Why hello lilly was wandering when you would call though i was expecting you to call my assistant Keira.

Keira I thought she said it was Kara. That's what she said.

Well yes that's her name but she's my protege and I want to give her some thick skin if she wants to make it in the media industry. I'm planning on giving her a promotion. And want your daughter to be her first interview. But ill have to give it then send her your way or better yet, you  and me and my assistant as a new reporter help git some tips then send her to snapper carr.

I think that that last one is a grand idea. I'll let you know tomorrow when  I have a free day to do it. Im sorry but I have to go I have to get back to my project. Goodbye Cat talk soon.

Yes talk to you tomorrow i have to pick Carter up from school and want to be there before the line get to long.
