Chapter 1

With eyelids gradually peeling opening, the female ghoul awoke from her room. Her eyes exposed to the dim lighting. "What a terrible dream. . ." She murmured to herself.  Sitting up from the bare bed, she shortly after flinched with pain. Rasping her arms around her stomach region instantly. "...!?". Perplexed, she wondered what that knife stabbing pain was. But, clasping hold of the rim of her shirt, she slowly, with a shaken hand pulled up her shirt. from being in a dazed state, her eyes widened  in shock. 'It wasn't a dream. . ? The hell did they do to me?!' her thoughts rampaged. what she saw was the fine work of stitching on her stomach. A long line from her chest and below her naval. 

"I'm glad to see you're finally awake" She was greeted by a voice. Looking across at the glassed window like wall, she saw a multicoloured- black and white haired male with a barely noticeable smile. 

Her eyes then widened even more until narrowing. She instantly bared her teeth at the male, her face contorted. "You! I'll kill you!" She growled and quickly scrambled onto her feet- not until falling back over onto her front. "I-It hurts!" She hissed with pain, clutching onto her stomach. "Damn it. . .Damn it all. . !" She seethed. 

"You shouldn't be so hasty, Akahana. You should rest." The male again spoke. 

"Tch. . .You! Who are you, and what have you done to me?!" The said ghoul retorted while on the ground in pain. 

"I'll answer your questions, but one at a time." The male sighed behind the glass. 

"I'm a  rank one ghoul investigator. My name is Haise Sasaki. And as for your other question, you'll find out soon enough." He smiled almost innocent like. "Well, i have to go, i only wanted to check up on you.  we'll talk again later." With that said, the male excused himself before leaving the room. 

"You bastard. . . Come back!" She yelled out with struggle, only then to hitch from the excruciating pain. 

 Laid on the ground, on her stomach, the young ghouls contorted expression began to shift into a expression shown with pain. "Why me. . " She mumbled before tears swelled in her eyes. "I-I don't want to be here. . .!" Slowly, she began to cry while rolling onto her side, pulling her knees to her chest. She was curled into a fetal position. 

* * * [Fast forward] * * *

"Journal entry #1. Appetite." A female spoke into a voice recorder. 

"A normal ghoul, after having fed is more than capable of going on without food for weeks. But, test subject number 1 has proven differently, despite only being feed approximately four days and five hours ago. . .Her appetite has become more. . . regular." 

"I'm so hungry. . . .So very very hungry. . ." Akahana muttered. On her hands and knees in front of the glass wall, she gazed up at the figures behind. All draped in white lab coats.

"Please . . .I beg of you, give me something to eat." With a pitiful look in her eyes, she was piratically begging to the humans.

"Please . . . Please!" Aggravated a little, she rose her voice- hunger slowly consuming her. 

"Test subject number one shows small signs of aggression." Again the same voice spoke into the voice recorder." 

"I'm starving here god damn it! Hurry up and give me something to eat before i kill all of you f**kers!" She growled, barking at them all.

Shifting from her hands and knees to her feet, she pressed against the glass window like wall. Fists banging against the glass. "When i get my hands on you all, i tear open your stomachs, pull out your intestines and organs and devour them while you're still alive!" She threatened everyone, some men and woman took a step back from the glass. Fear dwelling a little inside them.

The young ghouls mouth began to water, droplets of saliva drooled out the sides of her lips. A malicious smile sown to her expression.

"Ahahah! I'll eat you all while your alive! I wonder what your flesh tastes like on my tounge~!"

"You'll all surely taste divine! Ahahah!" Now in a psychotic state, the ghoul licked at the glass, her tongue  gliding up it.

"Ugh. . ." A male groaned, the look on his face was a look of disgust. 

 Akahana's right eye twitched. She chewed at her nails to the extend she ripped one clean off, blood now began to pour from the open wound. Staring at her finger, almost in a daze. She soon after smeared her finger onto the glass, dragging it along in all directions. 

Scientists whos perplexed as to what she was doing. Only then when she withdrew, she turned on the step and sauntered back to her bed. 

"I-It looks as though she's written something . . ." One human said. 

On the glass window like wall, printed in blood was the word. "DIE."
