WITH A TIGHT GRIP ON HER belongings, Y/N attempted to get through the packed train station. The loud chatter and touchy welcomes had her gripping her trunk even more. After all, you can never be too careful.

Her eyes scanned the area and she could only see the top of heads and crying first years. Her Mother wasn't present at the moment──not that it affected Y/N. She was a busy woman and Y/N didn't mind the good old goodbye kiss.

"Y/N/N!" A voice screeched, grabbing the attention of some nearby. "OVER HERE!!"

Emmy Davis.

The two met at the Sorting Ceremony when the First Years were instructed to get into lines and even ended up in the same house together.

Her real name was Emerald, but she strongly disliked the name ("I bet Mother and Father were on something at the time they decided on that horrid name.")

"COME ON! I SAVED YOU A SPOT!" With her messy blonde hair that framed her round face, most would assume the girl was crazy and had no decency.

She didn't notice the frown on her face until a smile found it's way to her lips at the sound of a parent yelling at her friend. Nonetheless, Y/N excused herself from the crowd, fighting her way onto the train and to where Emmy was.

"My apologies." Her back hit the compartment door as she had bumped into someone. Why did this have to happen now when people were boarding the train? Her trunk was back in her possession and it seemed that the person who collided into her was already looking down at her. "Hello, Malfoy."

Draco Malfoy, a spoiled Pureblood boy.

Sure she was filled with remorse when the boys offer was declined, but that doesn't mean she approved of his behavior. Malfoys taunting seemed to have gotten worst each year and that didn't do any good for Harry Potter and his friends.

After their encounter in front of the Great Hall, the two didn't talk a lot. They would pass by each other and it wasn't much of a challenge to spot his blond mop of hair through the crowded halls.

"Sorry Y/L/N, didn't see you there."

Lies.

The Malfoy boy was stood in front of Emmys compartment when she was shouting and decided to stand near the entrance in hopes of bumping into Y/N.

So here he stood, staring at the {y/h/c} haired girl who was looking anywhere but at him. "I should──um, get going.."
This was getting too awkward.

Draco on the other hand was enjoying this. He didn't want this interaction to end, even if it was quiet. However he snapped out of his gaze. "Oh, yeah. Blaise is probably waiting on me." He excused himself but not before breathing in the scent of her {y/h/c} hair.

──────

He hid in an empty compartment, sticking his head out as he watched her figure slowly disappear the farther she got.

Draco had made it his goal to actually get to know the Ravenclaw even though he basically knew everything about her.

Her favorite food, her birthday, what shampoo she used-

"Malfoy!" He averted his gaze from the floor to Theo calling his name. "Trains gonna move soon."

He nodded his head. "I'll be there." Although, when he nodded his head something caught his eye from the area he was previously at with Y/N. It was a piece of jewelry.

A ring.

He hadn't even noticed that his eyebrows were furrowed as he approached the band of gold.

No...

She can't possibly have a boyfriend, right?

But it's possible.

He shook his thoughts away and shoved the ring in the pocket of his trousers.

See you at Hogwarts Y/N...
