  Kaiba rested on top Ashara as they laid on his couch, Ashara's hand resting on his head. They had been laid there for at least an hour, at first they'd murmured to each other but had long since fallen into silence. Kaiba was calm, half asleep and quickly getting more and more tired. Ashara was just as calmed, simply watching the other as he fell asleep.

  The steady calm, the domestic moment they had been in, was interrupted suddenly as a loud crash and some rather colorful words were shouted from nearby. The sudden sound in the silence sent a shock through the two. Kaiba shot up in a flash, his hair and fur puffing up, his cat like ears shot straight up before pulling back and pressing against his head, his tail stiffened and wrapped tightly around the other males knee. His claws came out and likely would've been dragged down Ashara's chest had the redhead not grabbed the smaller males wrists in an attempt to steady him. By the time both were stilled, the only sound left was their slightly louder breathing and a small hiss like growl from Kaiba's throat, the disturbance that had startled them having long gone silent. Ashara took a few seconds to comprehend what had happened before he started letting out a small stifled laugh and once again moved his hand to Kaiba's head in an attempt to calm him.

   At the sound of the laugh Kaiba calmed slightly and turned to the other, his ears flicked up and towards the sound as he did. Ashara smirked a little and spoke in a lightly teasing voice "well that was certainly very cute." At the comment Kaiba flustered, realizing what he'd done, he began to stutter "w-well I- I mean I was startled I-" only to be cut off by his boyfriend "you really are a cat, huh? Does that mean this will work on you then?" The redhead chuckled and rubbed the tip of Kaiba's ear between his thumb and index finger, as he did this Kaiba's blush grew and he just- plopped down, pressing his face into his boyfriends chest, his voice dying in his throat.
