Chapter Four

I walked into the building and decided to head over to the library. When I walked in I noticed I was the only one there.

I walked over to a chair and sat down. I pulled out some homework and began to finish it.

I heard someone walk over to me and sit down next to me.

"Hey Y/n." He said. I looked up and saw it was this jerk named Joshua.

"What do you want Josh?" I said looking back down at my paper.

"Well there's this party and.-"

I looked back up at him "yeah no sorry I'm going with someone else."

He scoffed, "Yeah? Who?"

I wasn't actually planning on going so I panicked and said the first name that came to mind. "I am going with Emily."

He laughed, "You're hilarious Y/n, you are coming with me."

He grabbed my wrist, "Josh s-stop that hurts."

He let go "You are coming to that party with me." He got up and walked out of the room.

I heard the door slam shut after he walked out of the room. I put my head down on the table and sat there for a minute before packing up my stuff and heading down to Mr. Aftons room. I swung my bag over my shoulder and walked out of the library.

I walked down the hall to his room and knocked on the door. I watched as the door opened and William stood there

"Hello Y/n, did you need something?" I walked in and sat down in one of the chairs.

"I need you to do me a favor.." I said.

"Of course love, what is it?" He sat next to me

"I kind of need you to help me with this guy.." I said

He looked down at me and cocked his head.

I nervously laughed and scratched my neck. "It's stupid I know but he makes me really uncomfortable, and I don't know who else to ask.."

He nodded, "May I ask who it is?"

"His name is Joshua, he is trying to force me to go to this stupid party with him on Saturday."

I looked down, "I was wondering if you would come with me.. Just so he will leave with me."

He rolled his eyes "Y/n I am way too old to go to college parties."

I looked back up at him and made puppy dog eyes, "Pleeaasseeeee?"

He sighed, "Fine. Only so he will leave you alone." I smiled at him with relief.

"Thank you, I know it's dumb but I promise I will make it up to you."

He got up from his seat and reached out his hand. I grabbed it and he hoisted me up and brought me into a hug. "You owe me big time my dear."

Time went by and soon it was lunch, I got my meal and sat down with Emily.

"Hey Y/n How was mathematics?" she asked.

I groaned and stuck a fork full of food in my mouth, "It sucked like always."

I looked up and noticed Josh was coming our way. "You have to be shitting me."

He sat down next to me and smirked, "Hey Y/n, how's it going?" I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"Josh please just lea-" I was cut off when William put his hands on my shoulders.

"Y/n could I talk to you for a minute?" My face heated up and I nodded.

"Great! I apologize," He looked at Josh, "But I think your conversation could happen another time." He smiled at him.

I got up and followed William to his room. "Thank you for that."

"It was no problem love, that kid really seems like a pain in the ass." He opened the door and let me in first.

"You can hang out here until lunch ends if you'd like." He said as he walked back to his desk and sat in the swivel chair.

I nodded as I took a seat in one of the chairs in the front row and silently sat there for a few minutes.

"Mr Afton, could I use the restroom?" I asked

He looked up from his computer and simply nodded and went back to work.

I grabbed my bag and walked out of the room, once I was out of the room I rushed to the women's restroom.

I tried to catch my breath after running inside and locking the stall.

I slid to the floor and looked down at my hands and became lost in my own thoughts.

why the hell do I feel like this.. I'm all shaky and have butterflies in my stomach.

The image from the night before of William and I dancing played inside my head on repeat.

I covered my face with my hands in embarrassment, he is my teacher not someone I can just gain a crush on.

I mean technically I am an adult but still, it would be weird..

I sighed and got back up on my feet and unlocked the stall door.

I walked out of the restroom and suddenly all I knew was I was being pinned against the lockers.

I slowly look up to see Joshua again.

"Hello Y/n, miss me?"

I spit in his face, "Get lost Josh I am not going to that stupid party with you." my eyebrows knitted together.

He wiped the spit from his face and towered over me.

"You shouldn't get cocky with me Y/n, we would want that pretty little face to get fucked up now would we?"

I kicked him in the shin making him grunt in pain. I socked him in the face before shaking off the stinging sensation from my hand.

He looked at me with his hand on his jaw. Before I could run away he grabbed my wrist and pulled me close to him.

He moved closer to me, our lips almost touching before he slapped me in the face.

I just stared at the ground, "What's wrong Y/n? You're not as tough as you thought?" He tilted his head to look me in the face.

I shoved him away as I felt tears begin to sting my eyes.

I ran back to Will's room before Josh could do anymore damage.

I barged in the door and leaned on the door behind me as I regained my breath.

William stood up and rushed to me, "Y/n? What happened?"

I tried to refrain from bawling my eyes out but I couldn't hold back the tears any longer.

"I- He- Josh.." I couldn't take it anymore and just let all my emotions out.

William pulled me into a hug, "Shhh, you're safe my dear."

The hug caught me by surprise but without hesitation I hugged him back.

"Josh came to me and pinned me against the lockers so I punched him and.." I stopped,

"Take ur time Y/n." William spoke.

"He slapped me.."
