there once was a time, where thousands of kingdoms stand together in harmony, the land contained peace and peaceful people and animals.

until.. one day, one of the kingdoms, specifically the kingdom of 'freedom' decided to betray the kingdoms and destroy each of them, one by one.

peace was leaving quickly and the whole land was foreshadowed with darkness..

but, one of the kingdoms such as the 'alatus kingdom' decided to take that peace back, and restore the land.

once the other kingdoms heard of this idea, they decided to take the deal and begin a war.

once the war was over, all of the remaining kingdoms, such as only 5 kingdoms, decided to split the world in half.

there was enormous walls to separate each kingdom, to make sure no kingdom ever betrays each other again.

all of the kingdoms agreed and followed this rule and never broke it for centuries.

or so they thought?...

the sound of birds chirping and the leaves rustling, it was a peaceful day. xiao was out in his enormous balcony, sipping tea while looking down on peaceful villagers roaming around in his parent's kingdom.

it was another peaceful day for prince xiao.. suddenly, a knock on the door has alerted xiao. "prince xiao, may i come in?" xiao sighed and went back to his room to open the door, "yes?" ... "ah prince xiao, your mother is calling for you downstairs, would you like me to assist you?"

... "no thank you." he said while smiling, "okay prince xiao, please come quick your mother is waiting." .. the door quietly closed, as soon as he heard the maid's footsteps leaving. he began dressing himself up and went downstairs to the dining hall.

"ah my handsome son!" the queen couldn't help but stand up from her seat and hug him with a bright smile. "my queen! please sit down, you are sick." .. "mother? you were sick? you never told me.." xiao said it with a confused face, the queen chuckled and sat down, "xiao, please sit down."

xiao did what was told, "as if your wondering xiao.. i am going to die soon and you will have to gain my throne, to become king, king of the alatus kingdom!" xiao was shocked to hear this, since he never wanted to let his mother die but as such,

xiao was never interested in any woman, nor even marrying one. "xiao, i think you know what you have to do." xiao stood up quickly "but mother! i am not ready to become king, what am i suppose to do?!" before xiao could say another word.

"oh dear, no need to worry" the queen smiled widly. "mother?.." xiao said with a confused face, "xiao dear, please sit down and let me explain" xiao was still suprised but managed to keep calm as he sat down.

"dear, as you know that i am dying from old age, and i want you to become king so.. i have arranged a marriage for you!" xiao had his eyes open widly, he had never expected this to happen, xiao always seen it in books and stories but now it's in reality..

"what!?" xiao shouted loudly with a tense face, ... the people in the room has gone silent, "honey, I know it's going to be hard but you are going to be introdu-" but before the queen could finish her sentence, xiao stood up quickly, making quite a sound and rushing back to his room.

xiao couldn't even believe it, he didn't want to become king, he just wanted freedom.

but then, xiao got an idea, he knew that it wasn't a good idea but it was his own choice, he wanted to break out.

xiao was hesitant at first, since he knew that he would break the hearts of many people of his passing, but he really wanted a breath of fresh air

...

it was midnight, he was sure that his mother was asleep, while he was still in his pajamas, he took a black cloak and his favorite black shoes.

he climbed out of his window and began to leave the castle, he knew there were guards and he made sure to sneak past them.

xiao was always curious to see what was beyond the enormous walls, he thought to himself, "maybe.. if I can just see a peak of what is beyond the walls.."

...

there it was, the walls that kept any kind of kingdom from betrayal, he knew behind this wall would be the, 'kingdom of freedom'.

but.. as soon as he tried to step forward, he saw, a little kid.. "huh? what is a kid doing here around the borders?" he mumbled to himself.

but then, xiao started to panick, as he could see the sun rising and it would almost be dawn, he finally had the courage to step up and talk to the kid..

"hey kid, what are you doing here?" as soon as he said that, the kid turned around in shock, "ahh!!! w-wait- mister x-xiao??"

"... yes I am the prince xiao indeed.." he said in zero self-esteem, "ah! please mister xiao, I lost my ball in these cracks, could you get it?"

since, xiao was small enough to fit through the holes, it wouldn't be a problem, since he did want to see what was out of the border.

"sure kid, but make sure to not play around here.. its dangerous" the kid couldn't help but smile at the prince, and thank him.

..

xiao began to crawl inside the hole, what he saw was much more than it was in books and story books...

it was a garden full of beautiful flowers and gorgeous view of the sun rising.

xiao was distracted.. but he managed to find his senses and retrieve the ball.

the kid thanked him, but before xiao knew it, he heard the voices of soldiers..

"kid!!! please stand back from the wall!!", "ah! I'm sorry, I will make sure not to play here again!!"

xiao was nervous, he couldn't go back now, but what was the point?

xiao sat down on the flower field..
there was so much beautiful flowers and such magnificent scents, the butterflies around it had gorgeous patterns on their wings.

xiao was enjoying the view, until..
