Seeking Spirit

Five cautious humans made their way through the streets. The eldest, a woman(Amy), the youngest being a 15 year old boy(Night), a young woman in her 20s(Tina), young woman in her teens at 16(Taylor), and a middle aged woman in her 40s(Kim).

The five made it cautiously to a supermarket with food to collect for their shelter. After collecting items for five minutes they were spotted.
"Get down", yelled Tina.
She immediately ran toward Taylor pushing her out of the way behind shelves.
Tina than took out her hand gun and began to shoot back. As Tina rested for a moment saving her bullets, Night slid a small mirror toward her and she picked it up. Now getting their positions from the reflection, Tina turned and began to shoot. After a few seconds, Tina spoke, "Go! I'll cover you"!
They did as they were told and she eventually followed behind.

When they all got to safety, Tina put her gun back into the holster and glanced to the two teenagers than to the adults, "Everyone alright"?
They nodded.
Than she lead them back to the shelter.

Walking into a hidden warehouse, the five separated into the small crowd of survivors.
Tina glanced around when suddenly she heard a voice, "Teenie"!
Turned she found herself enveloped in a tight hug from her little sister Queenie.
"I wasn't gone that long", spoke Tina.
"Yes, but every time you go out it puts your life at risk. You know that, Teen", Queenie said defensively.
Grabbing her hand, Queenie than dragged Tina to the food and they began to load their plates and sat down eating.

Day later...

The sun shined brightly at it's peak in the sky as Tina, Kim, and Kim's husband(Issac) roamed the streets cautiously. The three came upon an abandoned apartment building. Their goal was to find clothing and anything that might come to use for them and others in their shelter.
Splitting up, the three separated. There were three floors in the building. Kim took the first floor, Issac took the second, and Tina took the third.

Kim walked with caution holding her weapon in case of surprise as she entered abandoned apartments. Walking into a place, she studied and examined the room. As she walked into a bedroom, she spotted a little stuffed teddy bear and a small smile crossed her lips as she thought of a young five year old girl. She was brave given everything the little girl had seen and gone through. Picking up the bearKim placed it in her bag and continued on.

Walking around an apartment on the second floor, Issac examined his surroundings and took the occasional items. A few cups from the kitchen, a blanket, food that wasn't expired, etc.

Meanwhile, on the third floor, Tina walked through the halls. She came upon a random place carefully opening the door with her weapon in hand as she walked in. Like the others, she examined the room taking occasional items. As she continued to search the apartment, she came upon a room with a bed neatly made, with a desk in the corner and a dresser next to the bed.
She walked to the desk, finding a bunch of sketches of different animals. She smiled to herself as she studied the detailed sketches. As she looked over the desk, she noticed a picture frame in the corner. It was of two men, one had dark hair and blue eyes while the other, looking much shyer, had messy light brownish hair and hazel eyes. Hesitating, Tina placed the picture frame in her bag to hang onto. Continuing to walk around the room, she found a few more pictures on the dresser. One of an old family photo with two young boys in it and their parents, another with the shyer man hugging a dog. He looked to be a teenager. The third picture was of him petting a lion that seemed fond of him, the fourth was him riding a horse, and the fifth was of him in the water with a younger boy and two dolphins.
Tina smiled as she looked at these pictures. He seemed to be an animal person. She glanced down when suddenly she could have sworn she felt a gentle hand touch her shoulder. When she turned around suddenly, she was breathing heavier taking a few breaths before hearing a voice, "Tina".
Looking up, she came face to face with Kim and Issac.
"You ready", ask Kim.
Tina nodded before following them out.
