Chapter 2

I woke up.

Went to the kitchen.

Grabbed something to eat.

I don't have milk, oh wait, I actually do have milk this time.

I ate.

I went upstairs and changed into some casual clothes.

It's the same thing everyday since the entrance exam. I'm just waiting for the letter to come. I'm positive that it will come today, that's what I said three days ago, possibly four.

I might as well check the mail box. I left my flat and headed to the wall of mail boxes. Seven other people live in this building. I unlocked my box. There's something inside. I grabbed it, shut the door and quickly ran back upstairs into my flat. I jumped onto my bed and stared at the letter. What will it say? It's definitely from UA.

"Stop shaking, dumb hands... I can't trust you to do anything without shaking"

I opened the letter. The first word I saw was, congratulations. I quickly read the rest of the letter. Apparently I got 54 villain points and 27 hero points, that's 81 in total. I don't remember helping out anyone...unless someone was having trouble with that zero pointer I destroyed. Looks like I'm also seat 21 in 1A. That's cool. Wait... 21? I thought there was supposed to be 20 students in each class?!

"21, I wonder how that will work out if we're ever in a 1 v 1 or something like that"

Classes will start in two days, that should give me plenty of time to pull my shit together and go to the mall to buy new school supplies. The school also mentioned that I will have a custom made p.e uniform that will be made out of the same material as my hero outfit. That's good, at least I won't have to worry about my clothes not coming with me if I decide to jump dimensions or decide to be a ghost and run through a wall. I think the letter said my school uniform will be made out of the same material as well, which means it will be slightly thinner. I'll also be given a female and male school uniform. At least UA is an accepting school, unlike my last school. Ugh, I had to wear a (female/male) uniform throughout the entire time while I was at school. Transphobic assholes.

To the mall it is!

~timeskip brought to you by a calm Bakuhoe~

I checked my 'mini' list of items. I should hopefully be able to afford all of this, if not...then I'll have to cut out a few things. I'll need a new bag that will hopefully carry my school supplies and a few extra things. Eh, this f/c bag should do.

School bag ✅

Now I need pens, pencils, erasers, notebooks, a ruler, math equipment, and a couple of folders.

Stationary ✅

Folders ✅

Oh yeah, forgot about a pencil case. I'll just get a f/c one so it matches my bag.

Pencil case ✅

I also need a couple new pairs of gloves to begin the school year and to also remind me that I'll never be able to slap an idiot in the face.

Gloves ✅

Maybe I'll even get a new pair of shoes. Yeah, fuck it. I have enough money to get another pair.

Shoes ✅

Okay, I'm leaving now. I quickly paid for my last few items and made my way home.

"Hi y/n!"

"Oh! Hey Naomi, I didn't expect you to come"

A few people turned their heads at me and gave me a look that I call 'what the actual fuck, who the fuck are they talking to'. Not my fault people can't speak to the dead.

"By the way, I just wanted to let you know that there is someone new moving into the flat next door to yours"

"Oh, are they there right now? What are their pronouns?"

"They're in right now, I'm not sure what their pronouns are though"

"Oh, okay. Looks like I'll have to ask for their pronouns and say hi then"

"Yeah, by the way Miss Mei's cat has gone missing and she would like you to help her find her cat, she told me to tell you"

"Okay"

Miss Mei can also communicate with the dead, it was a pleasant surprise when I found out. She's really kind and sometimes she even gives me nice messages via Naomi.

I walked up the stairs, and sure enough, the new neighbour was in the flat next to mine. I was enjoying being the only one on the third floor.

"Are you gonna say hi?"

"Yeah, might as well"

Despite hating social interaction, it's something that everyone in the building does whenever there is a new neighbour. That's something I learnt from day one. I knocked on their door. I heard a couple things being moved and finally, the sound of a door unlocking.

"Oh, hi. Who are you?"

"I'm y/n l/n, I'm the other resident on this floor. Just came to say hi, also, what are your pronouns?" please just give a short answer so I can go back to my bedroom.

"Oh, nice to meet you. I'm Akira and my pronouns are she/they. Thank you for asking, what are your pronouns? I don't want to accidentally mis-gender you"

"My pronouns are (pronoun) thanks"

She nodded.

"Well, see you around l/n"

"You too"

I walked to my flat as she shut her door. Ugh, too much socialising. I collapsed face first onto my bed and drifted off into a calm sleep.

Quick a/n!

Hi, whenever there is speech in bold, that's when a dead person is speaking. Normal speech is when an alive person is speaking. Just wanted to mention this in case anyone was confused :)

Hope you're enjoying this so far!
