Chapter 2

On the next day, the princess could no longer keep herself from this emotion she felt from yesterday.

A springing joy of sunlight with pollens being popped up, she described it.

It was so unfamiliar, she used every bit of her strengths to think of how she could feel that emotion again. Then it hit her.

Meeting her again.

She did not even bother to eat, she went straight to the garden bench and waited.

It wasn't long until she saw the same girl to appear suddenly with the same pollens from the same flowers.

But, she wanted it to be different this time, wanting to be closer to the girl. And with a deep inhale, she spoke.

"G-greetings!" She stuttered with a nervous hand gesture.

The girl paused for a second, being confused but, ignored the thought later on.

"Greetings, princess Clara!"

The smile sent princess Clara in a speechless state, trying to process the interaction she made, with a blush tainting her cheeks.

"I- uhm... do not know you unfortunately..."

"Unfortunately? You'll regret saying that after getting to know me!"

They both chuckled, loosening the tension and lifting the atmosphere.

"My name is Lynn Arcwood. It's a wonderful sight to see you princess Clara." Reaching out her hand, signalling for a handshake.

As they shook hands, Lynn sat beside the princess.

"Please, avoid calling me 'princess' my status does not matter to the same species as I am."
Clara said, with a light smile put on.

"Understood, my apologies."

"So what brings you to the garden? I do hope you aren't here to steal things." Clara said with a jokingly attitude.

"Oh my! You've caught me!" Lynn chuckles out

"But, in all honesty, I am here because my head has been in places where I wish I could not be in. And so, I come to the garden to clear my thoughts and rest my head."

"Did the flowers attract you? Or did the atmosphere did?" Clara questioned.

"Both actually! The flowers give out this sentimental feeling with a calming atmosphere. It's hard to explain honestly."

"I'm glad to hear that because, I grew these flowers."

"Every single one of them?!"

"Yes." Clara said with a proud tone.

"Might I ask, why?"

"I grew these flowers as an image of respect to my family's hard work and each petals represents how thankful I am to be with them."

Lynn was now the speechless one, she could not believe how blessed her ears were to hear such a pure and wholesome sentence of a meaning.

Clara tilted her head in confusion. Looking her in the eyes, analysing her thoughts from her expression.

She then reached her hand to Lynn's shoulder and asked if she was okay.

Apologising if her words were confusing or weird.

"N-no! It's not, I assure you! I'm the one who's supposed to be apologising instead."

"How so?"

"Every words you used from that one sentence is so deep, it's probably reached the other side of our world."

Clara laughed out, crying tears of joy.

Yellow tears. Glowing ones too, instead of the usual blue tears, she cried out yellow ones.

Although, she did not notice this yet.

When she lifted her arm in an attempt to wipe her tears, Lynn held her arm and wiped it for her.

She was in awe of Lynn's beauty as her hand touched her cheeks, Clara looked at every feature she had in her face.

An expression so calm and relaxed.

Eyes that glowed brighter than the moon.

Her smile that was so sweet.

Her hair being silky and smooth.

Eyelashes that were long.

And her soft and warm hands that carried too much kindness.

As she looked at Lynn's hand after wiping her tears, she noticed yellow stains on her fingers.

"May I ask, where did you stain your hand?"

"Oh... I.. actually do not know, I only noticed it when you pointed it out! Perhaps it was from all the dandelions in the field?"

"I beg to differ, dandelion pollens nor petals have been proven in many different ways that it cannot stain in the flesh of living creatures."

"Ah, I see..."

Then it clicked her mind.

"Was this... from my tears? No... its impossible. It would have not stained nor have been yellow." She said in her head.

Her thoughts circled around the yellow stains, thinking deeply and with a focused face as well.

"Hello?" Lynn spoke out to break out of her thoughts.

"Ah! I apologise deeply, I... I must go now."

"Oh..." Lynn said with disappointment.
"Well, it can't be helped. I shall see you next time!"

They waved their goodbyes and parted their ways.
