Louis POV:
Louis sighs as he looks in the mirror, he has changed his outfit about five times and he still can't choose something that looks good. He sews most of his clothes, for some reason they just don't look good. Meeting new people had always been nerve racking but adding more stress when it was your idol is actually insanely nauseating.Basically, he won a contest. He drew a picture of Harry Styles, the love of his life and he won a contest to go to the listening party in London for his new album fine line.
He really wanted to make a good impression.
Once he decided on his outfit he got on his bike. He had thirty minutes to get to the venue. Giving himself thirty minutes to get there was probably too long, but he didn't want to risk it.
He connects is earphones to his phone and hears the soft ring of hide and seek by Imogen Heap playing in his ears. The street lamp above him flickers and the spokes on his bike click as he rides along the road. Slowly, the houses of his street fall away and the city buildings are at full view. He tucks his nose into his sweater as the cold air hits it to the point it feels numb. He doesn't want Harry to look at him and see Rudolph, that would be extremely embarrassing.
As he rides past the train station, he hears the screeches of the wheels on the tracks. That is one of his favourite sounds. He always likes to think of the people arriving. Are they here to see family? Are they being reunited with a lover? It always makes him wonder. Are they happy? Louis thinks he's happy. He feels moments of joy. So he thinks it's happiness.
As the venue comes into view he gets nervous, his brain going a mile a minute. He felt like he was going to throw up. The usual swallowing until you have swallowed the anxiety isn't working and he feels like he's going to throw up. The stress of throwing up in front of Harry is making him stress even more.
He saw the people standing outside. He felt out of place. They were all girls. Not that he had a problem with that but like. He was the odd one out. He locked his bike up against a random rail outside and got in line.
"Hey, how are you?" A random girl asked from in front of him.
"Oh good, yea good" he replied, his voice wavered.
"You sure? You look a bit pale" the girl looked concerned but Louis was doing this and he was going to meet Harry.
"Yea just a bit nervous is all"
"I've met him before there is nothing to be worried about, he's real nice" she smiled.Okay, nice, totally nothing to worry about. As the line started to move the feeling of nausea got stronger. Telling himself not to embarrass himself wasn't even enough anymore. He has been waiting for this opportunity for three years and he can't mess this up.
As the queue started to enter Louis took a few breaths.
"You've got this tommo"
As he looked up he realised how beautiful the venue actually was. There were chandeliers everywhere and they were made of fine glass. There were a couple chairs and beanbags scattered around and a fire place. Harry really went full out, he didn't expect anything less though. As everyone went to sit down around the room as the staff told them Louis didn't know where to sit. Everyone seemed to have at least one person they knew here, however he knew no one.
Just as he was a boy to sit down the girl from earlier waved him over. He pointed to himself and she nodded. What? He didn't know if she was actually talking to him. Why would she be?
As he sat down she held her hand out. "I'm Eleanor"
"Louis"
"You feeling any better?"
"Nope"
"It's okay, we can sit together" she smiled. He was great full for her, at least he kind of knew someone. Better than sitting himself and looking like a looser.
The staff started handing out big wireless headphones. As he got his own he set them on his head. Well, he had to adjust them since they went down to his chin.
As he was adjusting them someone came and sat next to him. He thought nothing of it, since it was probably just someone here with Eleanor. As he looked up everyone was staring in his direction.
That's when he turned next to him and saw the curls. The curls he knew so well, the curls he had memorised for three years. Oh god, this was it and he wasn't even prepared, why on earth was this man sitting next to him?
"Hiya love how are you?"
Yep this was it, the moment his life went down hill, he couldn't even answer. The green eyes staring right into his soul and if he was stealing all of Louis power to even function like a normal human being."Good, yea good, sure I'm fine! You?"
Harry giggled, fucking giggled. Who did he think he was? Giggling like that. Making Louis feel like jelly."I'm good! Your name?"
"Louis"
"Oh yea, your the one that won the drawing competition right?"
"Yea"
"It was so good! I'm harry!" He held his hand out for Louis to shake. What? As if this man needed an introduction.
Louis shook his hand and laughed
"Yea mate, I know"
