My work day usually starts with an americano from Williams's coffee.
I grab a cab to the boutique and greet Ricky by the side door.
We walk in together and he goes straight to the store room to unbox stock packages.
I work on click and collect orders with Macy my other coworker until we open up at 9.00.It is generally young mothers who visit in the early hours.
Makes sense though, driving your G-Wagon to a school 5 minutes away to drop off the kids is utterly exhausting.
If i was the type of pretentious bitch who only had children so as she could show off to her friends how much of a high achiever her child is, I would do the same.I take pride in the fact that my boutique is where the bigwigs of Long Island go for brunch, not many places are able to fulfill these women's needs.
Anyway, the young mothers usually have their shopping done by 1pm, which is when the older lot start filing in.
These are the types of people who will lean towards the gold jewellery and dainty watches.
They are also very much in-and-out people, I mean these people won't spend more than 15 minutes in store. At 3pm is when things start to get super busy - children.
They are here to buy their best friend's birthday gift.
Children living this side of town expect much more than a $20 note in a $2 card.
They expect a $200 necklace in a $20 gift box.Today was no exception to this schedule.
Thanks for reading I will hopefully be able to add more soon ! <3
