We both just chuckled. Just before we could try to head out the door our grandfather came through the dining room entrance and just gave us the look.
"Now I am not happy you two didn't invite me to come with you."
"Sorry grandfather but I for one do not want to see the beast and her children."
"I am with NiK on this one grandfather. Plus sometimes suffering is good for the soul."
My grandfather chuckled and raised his hand and slapped the back of my brother's head in response. It made me laugh as Marcello just whispered jackasses.
"Come on Niki, let's go suffer and leave this smart ass to think of his response to me."
"Coming grandfather."

Just before we stepped through the entrance towards our dining hall, my grandfather stopped and linked our arms together. It was not going to be pleasant for us three as we all had different views on my supposed mother.
I had decided to believe she was dead as I really never knew her to begin with. Grandfather has forgiven her but refuses to give her the satisfaction of allowing her the title of Lady of the De Santis. Marcello well he still holds a lot of anger and disgust towards the women that left him to be raised by a cold hearted monster. This was a dinner that we were not looking forward to now because the whore of the house is back but it was no longer a choice as my father had made his decision.
Upon our arrival everyone began to stand beside Rosalina and the baby she held. My grandfather stops and squeezes my arm hard and I look at him for a response.
"Her and her side piece are sitting in your grandmother's and Luna's husband's chairs."
"I'll say something grandfather. There is plenty of seating as our table fits that of 30 people."
"No you'll get in trouble Niki."
"It's worth it and Rosalina should know about the chairs."
He just sighed and nodded as I guided him to sit next to Rosalina. She was about to speak to him before she had a chance, my grandfather raised his hand towards her. Before everyone sat I raised my hand for them to stop. When I was about to speak Marcello entered the hall and just waited for me to finish.
"Ladies and gentlemen welcome to my father Lorrenzo's birthday feast but before we take our place in our seat I'd like to remind everyone that their seats are given to them based on your status in the family of the De Santis. I am sure Mrs Canelo is aware of this , so if you may please stand and sit at the left end of our table with the high chair placed by the two chairs provided for you and your husband."
"Lady De Santis I was not aware as my wife Rosalina did not make it known. Honey, we WIll be talking about this later."
"She was just joking, baby. We can sit close as we are family to them. Nicki was only joking."
