Raylinn's Pov

I walked inside my house to see my mother stretched out on the couch in the living room. I didnt really know what was going on, because she normally doesnt get home until six.

"Raylinn would you like to tell me what happen at school today?"

"No ma'am." I sighed.

"You got five seconds, to tell me why you got the school callin' me at work." She said sternly. "I had to leave early cause you up there actin' a fool, and starting fights."

I looked down and fiddled with my fingers.

"Ma, I didnt start it. Somebody tried to..."

"Somebody tried to what?" She snapped.

"Somebody tried to rape me." I whispered.

"First imma whoop his ass for touching my baby, and next imma whoop you for letting him." She yelled. "You know I taught you how to take ca-"

"Chresanto took care of it. Thats why there was a fight! He was trying to protect me." I yelled interrupting her.

"So the same nigga who hit you, wanna try and protect you now?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Honestly, i have no clue what's going on."

"Just be careful out there, you're my only daughter."

"Yes ma'am." I said before going upstairs.

1 week later

Since that little incident happend, the school let me stay home to "recover". I hadn't been to school in an entire week, and I was bored, so I pulled out my phone and texted Chresanto. I sat and waited a couple of minutes for a response, and we ended up having a full conversation.

Later on tonight he would be picking me up to go on some mystery destination. I started cheesin', as I looked through my closet. My outfit consisted of some dark jeans, and a white crop top to match my white forces. I showered and brushed my teeth, before pulling my black hair into a ponytail. Then I slicked down my edges, and tied a bandana around my head. I put on a little lipgloss, and watched spongebob, while waiting for my ride.

I heard the doorbell ring, so I made my way to the door, thinking it was Chresanto. I made a face before biting the inside of my cheek.

"Why are you here?" I snapped
