(Still Y/n POV)
It was probably a few minutes by the time we got to the shore. Luca and Alberto walked up the stairs, not caring that people will see their sea monster face. "Wait guys! Don't you think people will kill us for seeing our sea form?" I asked a little worried. "Everyone has seen us before!" Alberto said walking towards the middle of the 'town square'. (This is based after the movie and after Luca went to school) "Imma go see Giulia," Luca said running to a house. Alberto and I sat on a fountain watching the kids play soccer/football, then we heard a motor. "Oh great.." Alberto said slouching over.
"CHIO EVERYBODY," I heard from a little behind me. An older boy on a Vespa. He got off and spotted me and Alberto. "Hello number one, oh and looky here, a number three. Where is number two? Did he finally get the idea nobody wants him in town? Haha," he said. "I- uh, w-well uh-," I stuttered. "I- uh hahaha, I love it. She can't even get a word out." The guy mocked. I looked down. "Leave us alone dude," Alberto said standing up, pointing a finger at the guy. "Dude? My name isn't dude. It's Ercole Visconti," he said. "Hey! Ercole! When will you just leave us people alone?!" A girl yelled, with Luca next to her. "Spulia, again," Ercole rolled his eyes. My eyes traveled to the Vespa, he owned. Wow, that's the Vespa.. I thought, standing up and walking towards it, still keeping a distance from it.
"Look away, she is too beautiful for you," Ercole got in my way of sight. "Hey! Belissima is way more beautiful than your Vespa, no matter how shiny, or... slick,..... perfect it is...... ANYWAYS You have no right to speak to her like that!" Alberto pushed Ercole a bit to get him away from me. I blushed a bit by his words. He was so nice to me, and for reason. Ercole looked at Alberto with a death glare and looked at me then back at Alberto. "Oh this is rich. Number one has a little crush! Amazing," Ercole shouted to the town. Alberto and I blushed a little more. I was basically red. lo giuro. voglio ucciderlo. I thought crossing my arms.
"You catfish! Leave us alone for once," Giulia said waving a fish in Ercole's face. He finally left laughing. "Thank you," I said I'm relief. "No problem, us underdogs need to look out for each other," she smiled. "What's under the dogs?" I was confused. "Us kids who are different," Luca said. "Us people have to look out for each other," Alberto smiled. "And now we have another to join us!"
-Time Skip-
It was night time and we all went to Giulia's house. "Hi Papa!" Guilia and Alberto said. "Hi Massimo," Luca said to Guilia's dad. "Hello Giulia, ello boys. Oh, who is this?" Mr. M asked. He turned around revealing his lack of arm. I became curious of what happened. "I-I'm Y/n," I stammered. We all sat down at the table with pasta in front of us. I didn't touch my food for a while, I looked around at the walls, Harpoons were polished, pictures of sea creatures being killed, and dead fish on the grill. I shivered. "Y/n? You good?" Giulia asked. "I-uh.. YES Im fine.. heh," I tried sounding fine, but i was frightened. "Are the harpoons catching you off guard?" Alberto asked, shoveling pasta into his mouth with his hands. I nodded a bit. " Don't worry you're safe. He knows about us being not human," Alberto gave a comforting smile. "Oh Giulia, did you get those books?" Luca asked. "Yes, come with me, let read them," Giulia grabbed Luca's and her plates and washed them. They both ran upstairs. "We better get to work again, Alberto," Massimo said getting up. " Hey Y/n, wanna join us? We're fishing and it would be easier to look for schools of fish if there are two of us," Alberto asked. He seemed excited. "Oh! sure!" I got up from my chair and walked out side with the two. We got into a boat and started going further out into the water. The boat kept rocking back and forth making me lean against Alberto. I quickly sat back up trying to keep it cool but.. I couldn't stop thinking how warm, kind, cute he is. My day dream was interrupted by Massimo. " Okay, this is the spot. I'll get the nets, y'all can get the fish to swim towards it," He said dropping a net into the water.
Alberto and I dove into the water. "The water is colder over here, today, I'm not used to it," Alberto said shivering. "Huh.. Hopefully we find fish before it's too cold," I said. We both swam towards fish and using Luca's stick to guide them. Luckily we got enough fish to leave. Alberto helped me up into the boat with his hand. He was such a gentleman to me, I'm not used to it. The night grew and we headed back to the house. I looked at Alberto and his purple scales were shimmering in the moon light. He seemed perfect. "Y/n?? Are you okay?" My trance was once again interrupted, this time by Alberto."AH, y-yes I was just.. uh.. spacing out.... heh" I struggled to let my words out. "Alright," Alberto gave a comforting smile. He shook the water off finally drenching Massimo. "Alberto!" Massimo yelled. "Sorry Papa," He laughed. I also laughed a bit.
We finally got home and sorted the fish into groups, Luca and Guilia were reading books and laughing by the time I came in. "Hey Y/n! Luca and I were reading about stars," Guilia rolled over to look at me. "Stars?" I asked. "Yeah! Raging balls of FIRE in the sky," Luca said pointing out the window. "Wow, that's interesting," I sat on the bed. "Hey, where is Alberto," Giulia asked. " He is helping Massimo, I thought they would be done by now," I said. And just that second, Alberto bursts through the door. "Hello, I am back," He says standing proudly. "Welcome sir, care to chat with us?" I said laughing. "I would love to," He said laying on Guilia's bed.
