Ch.7 a hero

The police came in and i told them the story kuso and ku had made up. They patted my shoulder and called me a hero. Teruhashi soon came inside and the police told her she should be grateful for me taking such a beating for her. She looked confused and smiled at them. Both saikis left to give me some time alone with the demon goddess and i laid in pain wishing for more meds.

Teruhashi:so...why'd you say that. Why'd you lie?
Y/n:tell me, if i told the truth do you really think anyone would believe me?
Teruhashi:...will you forgive me?
Y/n:promise to leave me alone?
Teruhashi:...ya. I promise. But...i need to know.
Y/n:i hate you because when i met you you acted perfect. Ya sure its true but it was annoying, then when you pushed me to be around you it made me more annoyed, then you didnt take my feelings into consideration on what we did when you forced me to hang out with you. I made it obvious i was miserable and anytime i spoke i got shushed or a crowd of boys and men would surround you. Chiyo stared at you in admiration and jealousy and i just wanted to be home watching tv. To me, teruhashi, youre not special.

She sat down in silence and the boys returned. Saiki brought a nurse to give me more meds and ku brought me flowers and a little bear.

Ku:so who's gift was better?
Y/n:yours ku. You're always the better gift giver.
Ku:told you.
Saiki:ok, but they needed the medicine and were begging for it. I think mine was more helpful. This will just die in a week and the bear will only remind them of what happened.
Y/n:true, but it will also last longer than the meds. And it will make me smile that he went out of his way to grab it for me, hoping it will make me smile.

Teruhashi stayed silent holding a small bouquet she bought me, they were white and yellow roses. A sign of purity, protection, and friendship. All of which she didnt bring into a room for me. She stayed however, she made sure i had warm blankets and changed the vase water each day. She didnt leave until i had passed out and before I'd wake up she was back.

Ku:oh no, she thinks is stupid. It was more of a joke with kuso and i. Um yeah, y/n but why?

Saiki did what his brother said and teruhashi jumped up at the idea, like a puppy. Ku and i were finally alone. When i was in England with him we flirted a lot, but nothing came from it. I tried to tell him how i felt but never really could. It felt stupid. I'm not even sure if the feelings are real or if this is just a Prince Charming situation. If because he saved me and made me feel safe and happy i developed these feelings or if because I actually have them. I mean he is cute, and smart, and he makes me laugh. I dont like how competitive he is with kuso, and i wish he didnt drag me into those battles to only declare him the winner in my own eyes. He did tell me how he felt though. He said he grew found of me and wanted me to stay in England with him, he kissed my cheek and we went back to japan almost immediately. He is older than me but only by a year. I'm about to turn 18 this upcoming Saturday and hes 19...
