The paper that ruined everything. That paper with a red circle around the word "positive." That paper somewhere in a ball in his trash. That paper that is in her bedside table. The tear stained paper that brought the cloud over their heads. That paper.
Oikawa came home early and everything was the same. Wrecked. Things all over the ground and broken picture frames lying everywhere. He heard muffled crying and screaming from their old room. In the corner of the room there she sat. Head down in her hands. Hearing the sound of the door creak, she lifts her head up. Tears coming out of her cloudy eyes. Face swollen and red. Seeing her like this made his heart break. To many times he had been pushed away, but this time he won't take it as an answer. He quietly walks towards the melancholy human. Careful he wraps his arm around her. Scared that her fragile body will break, he places a kiss on her forehead. He flinches waiting for her to push him away. But she wraps her arms around his torso and places her head against his chest. Even this slight action gave him butterflies in his stomach again.
"When I look at your kind smile and think that I was supposed to be there smiling too... I couldn't stop crying. It hurt so much that I wanted to forget."
