Killer was very kind and did give me my ride, the only issue was that the truck had only 2 seats, with a retractable third seat in between the passenger and driver, meaning I was squished between the two since Kid wouldn't fit in the middle. I texted Ace I was heading home, not expecting a response until he went looking for me. I know taking a ride from total strangers is weird, but they know Luffy and that boy had a 6th sense for people.

"I've never seen you around Luffy's friend group at all, how long have you known him?" Killer asked. I guess he wanted to make conversation to make the ride less awkward for him, but I was perfectly fine staring ahead in silence.

"Since the kid was born basically." I responded, trying to shift Kid's body towards the window.

"Then how come I haven't seen you?" I was really not used to having in person conversations and it slightly annoyed me he tried to continue the conversation, but I knew he meant well and I appreciated it none the less.

"I don't go out much." I said, my eyes looking off into the dark road ahead, not very interested in the starless night sky. Killer hummed, probably noticing I wasn't much of a talker since he remained quiet for some time. I mentally sighed, closing my eyes and feeling the effects of what I smoked earlier. Maybe I should talk.. as much as I hate to admit it, Ace was right for worrying about me, and this is a chance at conversating with someone new who just might switch things around for me. As sweet and lovely as Luffy and his buddies are, I was just an outsider to all their mischief who would occasionally contribute, but for nearly a year I've been distancing myself from everyone and even though they worried, they couldn't stay hung up on me and just lived their lives and just got used to having me out their friendships, so I wasnt really missed or concerned over.

"How long have you guys known him?" I finally asked, hearin Kid grumble and slowly adjust himself beside me.

"Only a couple of months, we met Luffy when Kid was trying to beat an eating challenge in some restaurant." He chuckled at the memory." I'm sure Luffy competed as well?" My gaze drifted to the groggy man next to me who sat up, wondering where he was." Of course! They both finished the challenge AND kept eating, until the owners had to kick them out!" He rumbled, my focus now on his large chest that jumped repeatedly as he laughed. I'm such a perv..

"Where the fuc- YOU!!" I winced at the sudden yelling, turning to the red head who had a scowl on his face. Killer sighed, tapping the wheel." Kid, behave please, we are just dropping her off.." he warned. Kid huffed, crossing his arms, looking out the window.

The rest of the drive was just Killer and I talking about our connections with Luffy and anyone associated with him, and to be honest, I started to like talking to the blonde. He was a very mature and respectful person and it's hard to imagine that he is best friends with the monster next to me. Kid was silent the entire time, but stole glances over at me, thinking I wouldn't notice his Lazer gaze that bore holes into me.

Before long, we reached my small and unimpressive house.

"Thank you so much, Killer." I smiled, kissing him on the cheek out of courtesy. He was probably not used to that though judging by his body language." I-its no problem! Kid, let her get out." He stammered, just confirming my suspension. I had always shown my appreciation of thanks with a kiss on the cheek and anyone who knew me didn't mind. I guess I should've expected that reaction from someone new..

I shifted, feeling a bang in my head, making me groan as I held onto my temple.

"Is something the matter??" Killer worried, rubbing my back. Even Kid flinched, slightly reaching out to me but not touching me. I nodded." I'm fine, let me through please.." I probably shouldn't have flung a grown ass man over my shoulder...
