Hoseok has been taking over most of the things at my firm and the business grows more and more. And even though I am the owner, I don't spend a lot of time there, not as much as I used to. I used to work almost twelve hours a day and now I work less than five.

I truly feel like a dad because the reason I chose to work less was to look after Jooheon, to take care of the kid. I take him to school, to doctor's appointments, to play dates and even take him and his best friend wherever they ask. I love spending time with the kid, my kid, I love when he calls me 'appa', I love when he sings for me, when he tells me things, I love that child almost as much as I love his father. His other father.

The reason I chose to spend less time working and more time taking care of our kid is because Minhyuk has been very busy with work. He's becoming a known surgeon because of his breakthrough in a child's cancer treatment. So since I'm with Jooheon nineteen out of twenty four hours a day, he gets to be busy without worrying about Jooheon or feeling bad about it.

Jooheon has been very excited lately because he will start first grade soon. The thing he's most excited about is that he will get to go to grown up school. But he's also sad Changkyun won't attend school with him since Jooheon is older. Jooheon says he wants to spend every second with Changkyun before school starts because his best friend won't be with him as much after it does. Jooheon and Changkyun are very close. Changkyun's parents get busy a lot so Changkyun is always over at our place. And I'm not mad about it. The kid is quite the opposite of Jooheon so they balance each other out. Changkyun also loves Jooheon so much. I hope he will always stay in my son's life.

One day, when Changkyun is at our place, Jooheon takes me to his room while Changkyun is outside, and tells me he wants to take Changkyun to a grown up restaurant so they can eat together like grown ups do in movies.

There is nothing Jooheon asks me that I deny. I am that kind of father. So I take them out, I take them to my favorite restaurant, where I haven't been in so long. In the car on the way there, Jooheon tells me he will be very polite at the grown up restaurant and Changkyun promises that too.

When we arrive, I get us a table near the bathroom because Jooheon drinks a lot of water and I don't want him to pee his pants yet again. Changkyun and Jooheon sit across from each other and I sit by their sides.

"What do my boys want to eat?" I ask them, looking through the menu.

"Chicken." "Ramen." The boys speak at the same time.

I look at them and smile. "How about steak?" I ask. "Honey bee likes steak, right?"

Jooheon nods with a tight smile. Changkyun, upon Jooheon agreeing, agrees as well.

As we wait for the food and the two boys have a chat, trying to pretend they're grown ups, I get a text from Minhyuk.

MINHYUK:

Hi, baby

What's up?

The night is quiet here at the hospital

HYUNGWON:

Hi babe

That's good, right?

I brought Jooheon and Changkyun out to eat

Our Jooheonie said he wanted to bring Changkyun to a grown up restaurant

MINHYUK:

That's so cute!

We are raising him well
