The buildings wheezed past him as he urged his aching legs to carry his torso a bit more longer. He wanted to get away. Away from the goons. Away from the city. Away from him. He had landed in a deep trouble , a mess which wasn't even his.
But what was he supposed to do? Let his brother cry in front of him, telling him that it might be the last time he saw him? Push his angel into the jaws of the devil? Willingly seeing his brother risk his life for something that was his duty? Kneel in front of those who don't even deserve their respect? They were Alphas, for hell's sake. Highest in the food chain. Lost in this repulsive and mind wracking thoughts, the path he was running on was the least of Andrew's worries. The anger and hate coursing through his veins gave his body enough strength to keep running, to the safety of his home. He could already feel its radiating warmth, the peace , the sense of safety, their hiding spot. But a loud and hoarse shout broke his train of thoughts. " I see him! He is on the sidewalk, near the forest! Grab that bastard!" Fear and adrenaline snapped him back to reality and he ran into the forests. Darkness blocked his sight, giving him little space to see and run. A low hanging branch hit him in the face and he tripped and fell, tumbling down the muddy forest track. His exhausted body gave in and he fell face first on the ground. Groaning, he tried pushing up on his sore muscles, when he felt a foot push him back to the earth again. His sensitive nose caught the husky scent and he stilled, a chill running down his spine. A deep voice rumbled above him, " I found you at last, my runaway thief."
