Part 1

Anastasia Quinnley Forbes:

Spending time with my family is one of my
favorite things to do, especially since I've been so busy with work. It's been nearly two weeks since I've met up with my siblings or parents, so when my sister asked me to go shopping i with her I instantly agreed.

" You know I'm doing you a favor by bringing you along with me."

" Oh? And why is that?" I asked my older sister Amber who was shuffling through the Chanel skirts.

"Oh please don't act like you don't know. Anastasia, your closet only consists of professional business outfits with a few dresses for galas and dinners, I hardly see you wearing casual clothes anymore."

I smile, but I know work has really been stressing me out lately. Not that I don't love what I do, I do love my work, especially my company. Being the founder and CEO of a successful company at the age of 25 is really a dream come true. I started this company when I was 16 years old and let's just say in the last decade the company has grown more than expected. However, the best part of this is that I did it by myself. Started a company, found a manufacturer, kept up with the finances all by myself. Being born in a wealthy family means society expects you to be a trust fund baby not having to work for anything, but I knew that was far from the truth in the Forbes household. Yes, my great-grandfather was the founder of the noteworthy Forbes magazine.

" But the clothes I do have are quite fashionable if I do say so myself." I replied looking at my business attire. Yes I usually only wore business outfits but that didn't mean they weren't fashionable.

" I couldn't agree more." My sister exclaimed. "I mean you always had a good taste in clothes, I'm just asking you to relax once in a while." I can't believe my sister is telling me to relax, when she over works herself all the time! Amber is a model and fashion designer here in Manhattan. She's only 2 years older than me but she definitely is the more relaxed go with the flow sister.

" Amber Katherine! Hasn't mom taught you anything, she always told us to not be hypocrites!" I playfully pushed her shoulder.

" Well I am saying this as your older more mature sister, trust me sis you'll regret not spending more time relaxing." Usually I'm able to balance my work with my social life quite well but lately ever since the company's main investor has been thinking of dropping out and retiring it's made my life a whole lot more difficult to balance out.

We shopped for 2 more hours until I looked at the time. I had promised my best friends Brooklyn and Spencer I would meet up with them for dinner, and I know if I was late they would be my wrath.

" Oh my lord Ambs! I'm going to be late if I don't leave now for The Starling right now!" The Starling was a famous restaurant that accepted black cards only, the girls and I have been going to it since we got our licenses back in boarding school and now meet up once a month at The Starling to catch up. Spencer had some news she needed to spill, she mentioned something about her getting a new case.

" Bye love you! Have fun, and tell Vanderbilt and Lockwood I miss them!" My sister yelled behind me.

I bid my sister a farewell changed into a simple dress in the car and left to meet up with my best friends Brooklyn Reagan Lockwood and Spencer Willow Vanderbilt. Our families were very close and I have known those two from the moment I was born- literally our moms were pregnant at the same time. Spencer was born first in June than me in August and finally Brooklyn in October.

" Anastasia Quinnley, how nice of you to finally show up!" Brooklyn sarcastically said.

" Hey Brooks! Cut some slack, traffic was dreadful plus I'm only five no wait six minutes late" I said looking at my watch.
