MIDDLE GROUND! HAIKYUU!

chapter four!

kat sneakily walked up the stairs up to kenmas room, with a box full of snacks, blankets, and the game that had just came out that he had been wanting for the longest time now.

eager to show him, she opened his bedroom door to find two individuals. kenma, of course. but another girl as well.

"oh, uh.." she stuttered, her hands beginning to shake causing the box to fall.

"oh! kat! i wasnt expecting you" he tossed a blanket around the other girl, as she hardly was wearing anything.

"i shouldve called.." she couldnt take her eyes off the two.

"yeah that wouldve been nice, are you okay? do you need something? whats in the box?" he asked repeatedly, basically playing twenty one questions with the girl in shock.

"i should.. i should go" she picked up the box and hurried down the stairs, followed by footsteps.

"im sorry kat, i didnt think youd show up like that" kozume grabbed kats arm and spun her around to face him.

"its alright, i mean, we're only friends right?" she teared up at her own question.

"kat, darling.." he chuckled.

"..you need to wake up"

"huh? what are you talking about?" she looked up at him in confusion.

"i said, you need to wake up"

"kat wake up!" kenma shook the girls body, wiping the tears off of her face while she fought the sun to open her eyes.

"but.. you were just.." she tried to form a question in confusion but he cut her off.

"you were just dreaming" kenma pushed the girls grey hair out of her face, sliding his fingers down the side of her face to comfort her.

she wasnt sure why her dream affected her the way it did. i mean yeah she loved kenma but had only seen him as just a friend since they had met. was that starting to change?

no, it couldnt. right?

she nodded her head and looked around, taking in her surroundings.

"where are we?" she wiped the remaining tears off of her face and fixed her makeup the best she could.

"the bus.. kat.. we are on the way to karasuno"
