Chapter 42

Today the school was preparing for the U.A. Culture Festival. So, I let them take the lead. I didn't want to take all the spotlight like I usually do. Besides I have some friends to visit. On my way to their house I had passed by a cafe.

That brought back memories. Memories of how I met Gentle and La Brava.

Flashback...

I was patrolling the streets when I saw something bounce off of air. I had found them. I followed the 2. They had caught my interest with their videos. I wanted to meet the 2 of them, who were called villains, but didn't commit serious crimes. Only glamourous ones.

I followed them as xlr8 and eventually caught up to them while they stopped at a cafe. Knowing where they were and that they'd be undercover, I become my human form. I was wearing a green hoodie. I put my hood up and enter the shop, seeing the 2 criminals.

They were disguised, but not all that well. I go to their table. "Excuse me, do you mind if I sit here?" I ask them. "No, not at all. Please feel free to take a seat." He says, as he pulls out a seat next to him.

"Thanks." I say to him. Once the waiter arrives, we all order. We all get tea. "So, can I tell you 2 a secret?" I ask them. La Brava looks at me slightly suspiciously.

"Sure." She says. "I know who you are. And I have an offer for you." I tell them. They both seem shocked. Both ready to prepare an escape if they need to.

"What is your offer and how did you find out who we are?" Gentle asks me. "Well, I just followed you here. This is my offer." I say, as I pull up my sleeve showing them the ultimatrix symbol. They both look at it with their eyes wide. I pull my sleeve back down so no one gets suspicious.

"Why us?" La Brava asks. "Both of you are misunderstood and forced into the roles you currently play by a society which rejected you. I've also been rejected by society. So, I'm here to give you a chance at becoming a vigilante rather than a villain. Of course this may be difficult, but I'll help you with the basics." I tell them.

Both look at each other, and whisper between one another. Then they decide. "We'll take up the offer." Gentle says. I smile. "Great. Let's talk about this somewhere more personal. Too many ears here. I have a place we can go." I say.

We drink the rest of our tea and then go to my tower.

Flashback over...

Man that was a good memory. I walk in the cafe and unsurprisingly they were in there. Disguised. "Hello again." I tell them.

"Midoriya, it's so good to see you again." La Brava says. "You too." I say, as I give both of them a hug.

"So, why'd you call? Not that I mind, I just know you're most likely killing 2 birds with one stone by coming to us." Gentle says. "You know me too well. The U.A. Culture festival is up, and I don't want to take all my friends spotlight, so I want you to help them with your obvious skill in performance and showmanship." I say.

He smiles. "You came to the right place for showmanship." He says, as La Brava also gets excited. "Now let's get this show on the road." She says.
