third person perspective

10 p.m on a school night.

there was kageyama in his bedroom, practicing his sets back laid on his bed, his arms bending up and down as his wrists flicked each time the ball went with gravity.

1 whole week of silence.

and it was all his fault.

his fault for letting his insecurities get to him and projecting them onto the girl he most lo-

he knew that, and everyday without hearing her voice made him drown in a pool of guilt.

but he felt like it was too late now.

"depressed again?"

a voice from his door startled the setter, making him miss the ball and instead of falling onto his hands once again, it plummeted onto his face.

"ahh!" he winced as the ball rolled onto his hardwood floor. looking up he saw his older sister jeering at her sibling.

folding her arms, she gave him a judgy look. "your 'death' glare isn't scaring anyone, or at least not me" she said, quoting death with her fingers.

kageyama rolled his eyes, mummering "yeah yeah whatever"

rolling off his bed lazily like a looney tunes character, he reached for his volleyball and aimed it right as his sister. however, she caught it unfazed.

"woah tobio, stop being moody!" she laughed as she threw the ball right back at him, walking away from his room.

he slipped the chance of catching the ball again, clumsily falling on the floor. accepting his defeat he just laid on the cold ground, holding the volleyball to his chest.

sighing, his breath hitched again when his sister spoke out of the blue.

"did something happen with that girl ?"

the question had shocked him, but he tried to not have it written all over his face, and he glazed his face with another unbothered look.

"none of your business" he turned onto his side, not wanting to answer her question.

"come on tobio! i'm your older sister for goodness sake!" she screamed, joining him on the floor as she rubbed his back.

him and his sister never really talked, but it was kind of comforting to have her around.

"i fucked up" he finally said.

immediately, he felt a light slap on his left cheek.

"oww!" he held his cheek with a hand, soothing it as he stared at his disapproving sister.

"that's all your gonna say you baboon!" she shook her head, wanting to hear more.

"go die" he stuck out his tongue at her, getting up before he was about to get wwe-d.
