A quiet place Regan x Reader fanfic

The farm

I open my eyes. The pain in my lower abdomen has disappeared, thankfully. I look to my side to see Regan sleeping peacefully. I raise my head up. But when I do, a massive pain forms in the back of my head. Regan is now awake. Looking at me.

"You hit your head really really hard on the ground. I tried to catch you but I was too late. It should go away in about 2-3 days. You had a minor concussion. I'm sorry" Regan signed

"Don't be sorry, you have nothing to apologize for."

She smiles at me.

A man comes into the room.

"Hello! I'm lee and this is Marcus"

He points at a little boy behind him. The same boy who was laying next to me.

"And I've seen you already met Regan. Oh and here this is Evelyn!" Lee introduces her to me.

Evelyn waves at me and gives me a smile. I of course smile back.

Lee hands me a white small pill which I take. It immediately helps my head.

"We couldn't figure out what kind of sickness you had. But don't worry it's treatable."

He's speaking to me while doing sign language. I think that he thinks that I don't know it.

"Tomorrow..well If you want you can start helping us work on the farm. Do you know where your parents are?"

"They all died..less then a month ago"

Lee looks sad and disappointed.
"What's your name?" Lee asked

"I'm y/n"I answer

"Nice to meet you y/n!"

It was sort of a weird conversation but I didn't say anything about it because I didn't want to be rude.
I plop myself back on my bed where I assume I'll be sleeping. Regan is resting her head on the bed whilst sitting on a chair. She looks uncomfortable.

"You can lay on here with me..you know..if you want"

She smiles at me then climbs on to the bed with me.

"So this might seem like a weird question but, who carried me when I fell?"1 I ask

"I did you're actually really light!" She says and then smiles and I smile too knowing she's joking.

"Who actually did?"

"My dad, he had to carry both you and Marcus..it wasn't easy. Especially because we lost someone."

"Oh no, that's horrible."

"It was our little brother." She looks like she's going to cry so I instantly give her a hug. I hug her for a while until she falls asleep. She's one of those people who sleep really pretty. I cover her up then go to sleep.
