What happened next came without warning, all I could recall from the situation, was shrieks of pain, and a large white room. I kept telling myself "It's not real, It's just a nightmare!" I knew that wasn't true though, I knew what followed could resut in death for me, any optimism was gone, this was the end of the line. I peered around the room, it was filled with instruments I had no idea what they were used for. I was lying on a table, people whispering all around me saying the same sentence over and over, "It's not going to work, it's gone!" I pondered about it for a while till I looked up to the monitor, It was a visual of my brain or now, what's left of it. My amygdala was gone, I wasn't a nerd back in the day, but I was always fascinated with the brain, the small mass that is so complex, so articulate, I believe my addiction came from my syndrome. The surgeons around me contemplating about what to do, I realized the last hope for a cure was dwindling away. I thought about why they were mad about me not having an amygdala if they needed a hippocampus, but it didnt take me long to think of the answer. If they needed my Hippocampus to find a cure they would also need to study the effect of emotion through the amygdala, how my dreams make me immune to someting as deadly as the tectonic. Fear isn't real but danger is, they needed another peson with the same syndrome as me, which as far as I knew didn't exist. I also realized that I hadn't had any dreams wth my coma, which was strange, then I found out that the doctors 120 years ago must have taken out my amygdala, to make sure my nightmarish dreams didn't spread, It was a convoluted way to be living, but I didn't think this was going to be a story I would tell to my next generation, the surgeon shoved some anisthetics in me, and he said the most peculiar thing I've heard in a long time, "You're going to like your new body, we'll make sure you do."
