Prologue

They were after her. Chasing her through the sacred misty forest. Nothing but escape filled Emily's mind. The young woman trampled over logs and mossy stones that where slick with dew of the early morning. A slight magenta swirl mixed with the deep blue of a night sky. With the stars speckled like freckles the moon looked down at her.
The wind rustled the leaves and began to make a melody of the forest. Barking of dogs struck more terror into Emily as her shoes started to slip a little.

Dogs howling with a fearsome tone made her run faster and faster, until she fell.

A dizziness over took Emily's vision. That's when the light pierced through her skull and a numbness of extreme power over took her. Just as the black dots reached the center of her vision, a wisp of a voice sounded. "I'm sorry, but we're left with no choice." A pain began in her stomach. A pain that hurt worse then anything in her life. That's the moment when she passed out. And her life changed forever.

Later, Emily woke up in a hospital, in a confused daze. A bundle lay in her arms. A baby with the most hypnotizing eyes looked up at her. Different shades of green and blue filled the iris with dots of gold. Love swelled in her heart, and that's when she knew she was hers. Her daughter. At least her daughter before the strangeness of her began to fully develope.
