YOUR POV
You looked out the huge glass windows of the empty shop, seeing the rather deserted streets. Rain trickled down the windows, and you let out a huge sigh. You were stuck working in your fathers shop ever since he left Hyrule, and it was no fun.
The rain pattered down on the old roof, every drop making its own faint noise. "Heh, no wonder it would rain today," you muttered under your breath. It has been a week since Link left into the woods, and you had no idea what he was doing or where he went. All he said was "Be back soon," and was out the door.
Why did he have to leave? He was all you had left, since you never met your mother, and your father left you alone. He was all I needed, though. He made he happy when the world was breaking, he made me laugh when I should've cried, he was my world.
Link, you are light. Sometimes, you shine so brightly, I must look away.
All of the sudden, someone running in the distance pulled you out of your trance. And sure enough, they were dashing right towards the shop. "Who in the world?" you asked yourself as you walked up to the window.
It couldn't be...
"LINK!!!" you screamed, dashing outside into the rain, not caring about the shop. He saw you, and smiled a huge grin. It seemed like it took forever for you two to reach each other, but you finally did.
You both collided into a huge embrace, you now bawling your eyes out. "Link, never leave me again!! I thought you were dead," you muffled into his chest in between your sobs.
"It's okay," Link whispered into your hair, still hugging you, "I'm here now, I'm sorry I left you, I love you, y/n."
Link then loosened your embrace, then looked at your lips. "I've always wanted to kiss the love of my life in the rain," he said. And then, you two were engulfed into each other's lips, savoring each other's presences.
When your lips finally parted, you both looked each other in the eye and smiled. "Want to go home, sweetie," Link said to you, still looking you straight in the eye.
"Sure, let me close the shop first," you said, quickly running over to the old shop. Business was slow today anyway, who cares if I close early anyway? I'm practically my own boss.
I ran back to Link, him giving me a silly glare. "Where's Epona?" you questioned.
Link then scooped you up, starting you at first, and started walking back to the house. "I thought this would be more appropriate," Link said, right before planting a soft kiss onto your lips.
