A few days had passed since the... "incident", we'll call it. Though everything had gone pretty normal since then, your mind was still flooded with questions. Who had sent you those flowers? Was it someone you knew? Surely it must have been, right? How else would they know your address...?
Nao had shown concern for you when you'd get lost in your thoughts, clouded with questions that you were afraid you may never get the answer to. Maybe it was better that way. Each time she asked, you would just smile and laugh, reassuring her everything was okay.
You felt terrible lying to her. You weren't okay. This incident was plaguing your mind and no matter how hard you tried to forget about it and move on with your life, the sentence on that note kept creeping back.
"Thanks for the coffee."
... Coffee.
Then clearly it must've been someone I served recently, right? I mean... the only person I make coffee for outside of work is myself. Have I served a relative recently? Someone, anyone that I know personally? That's the only thing that would make sense...!
...
... I don't want to think about the other possibility.
A deep sigh left your lips. The sounds of students packing up their things and hurrying out of the room helped to zone you back into reality. You took a second to remember where you were, then quickly followed suit.
Great... I zoned out again.
It was one of many times, you were growing tired. But hey, were you going to pay attention to that lesson anyway? ... Probably not, in all honesty. You quickly got over it.
Should I get... fries for lunch? Yeah... Yeah, fries sound good right now.
You swiftly made your way to your locker with the intention of disposing your books and other unwanted items into it. You hummed as you did so, a quiet tune of a song that you couldn't quite remember the lyrics to.
Let's see, McDonald's, orrrrr... Ah, there's that burger van down the street! I've heard their fries are pretty go—
"wHAAH—!"
You damn near jumped out of your skin when you shut your locker, only to find a familiar green haired man casually leaned up against the lockers waiting for you. At your reaction, he chuckled. You tried desperately to ignore the stares of the surrounding students.
"Hahah, wow! That's an interesting way to greet a friend, y/n."
"I— you—... I— Um..." Your face was flushed with embarrassment as you stared at him wide-eyed. You eventually regained the ability to form semi-coherent sentences.
"H... Hiyyyyooriii..." You dragged out his name a little, since it took you a second to actually remember it, "I–I didn't know you went here... you scared me."
"That much is clear!" Sou stood up straight and folded his arms behind his back. He was wearing the same black suit and iconic red scarf that he always wore. You wondered if he had multiple of the same suit or whether he just wore the same one every single day.
