"All you had to do was say sorry, now look at you. Crying on the floor huddled up like a dead roach. How cute hmmm,". He circled the boy like a shark.
Emily stood paralyzed staring at the scene happening in front of her. She didn't even think this happened in the school, she knew that there were kids who were a part of the scholarship program but for the most part nobody cared. Her eyes filled with tears seeing the Indigo look so helpless.
Emily's lips scrunched before she pushed Antinous as hard she could. His body slammed against the door behind him. His eyes frantically moved about the place falling against the floor. With Emily's timid behavior he never expected, and nor did indigo.
"Antinous, Indigo does nothing to hurt anyone, even you. Indigo is sweet and he's very gentle. He makes sure to try his hardest. Maybe if you tried you could be nice too." In her voice a strong bass stunted the boys. She looked down at Antinous with sadness; she thought more of him since she considered him a good friend.
The door behind Antinous nudged at him before he stood up and backed away from it. There Isis was squinting at the three, shaking her hand of its wetness."It's not nice to block the door of your senior. Maybe I should TELL! a TEACHER! of your door blocking." Antinous quickly began to look around at her loud mention of teacher.
He moved toward the double doors at the side of the hallway. Isis quickly yanked him by his shirt pinching at his skin a bit. "I'm not done." She stared between the three bodies before moving closer to Indigo. She tugged at his arms pulling him up, she placed his arm around Emily's neck. "Take him to the nurse and get a pass. And you," She whispered the last part turning towards Antinous.
"If you put your hands on him again, The teachers won't be scariest of your problems."Her voice was steep, so steep you could sense the threat tread off her tongue with venom.
His leg was wrapped in a cloth with an ice bag tapped to the side of it. He felt it swell like it had a heart beat. He had to figure out what to tell his mother since he couldn't take it off per request of the nurse.
He assumed Isis wouldn't tell his mother since she didn't tell the teacher, still something rested in his chest bothering him. He wanted it to be guilt for getting her involved, but he knew it was hurt; hurt that she didn't tell the teacher, and that she probably won't tell lilac. He knew it would make his situation worse, but it would make it feel like she cared for her sister's brother more so him.
He clicked away at his pen over and over to distract him from the thought ruminating around his head. He grabbed his stuff knowing the bell was about to ring. The moment the it runged he lifted up and ran for the door ignoring his aching foot. The bottom of his stomach bubbled up. He would often get aches like this when he was stressed.
For example:
When his dog died because of someone shooting him,
when he found out his grandmother had moved,
His sister threw away his BumbleBee action figure from mcdonalds because it was in her room,
Or
The time an eight year old Indigo watched his dad flee the house in a hurry because he robbed the neighbors. Note he wasn't stressed of him getting arrested for his dad more so that he wouldn't come back again.
Nonetheless he didn't have time for thinking like that since he got a job at the ice skating rink in the plaza and he couldn't be late showing up. So he rushed to his locker limping there in pain. He threw everything besides his folder in there, closing the door to be faced with emily. He blinked wildly seeing her sudden appearance.
